I am sooooo looking forward to this. The multiple ways of completing missions is still a feature, kickass.

Sounds like it'll have a bit of Mass Effect thrown in?
And I hope our hero's home isn't raided for finding that "datapad" in the bar.

@Evin

Correction: Mass Effect had a bit of Deus Ex thrown in.

@Evin

Seriously man, considering Deus Ex was made on the original Unreal Engine and came out years before Xbox360 even existed... how could you make a comment like that?

@Evin Deus Ex was more of an RPG than Mass Effect could ever dream to be.

The features are so robust that it still hasn't been touched upon in games yet. Fallout 3 tried, but it didn't come close.

@Evin I hate to be so...elite. But it seems to me you're using that term completely incorrectly.

Oh and you're still crying too.

I'm sure this game will be hated for not living up to the nebulous "standard" of Deus Ex 1, but I am almost certain that on its own, as its own game, it is truly outstanding.

I really think it's going to do things DE1 did better than DE1 did, especially the setting and atmosphere. Seems a lot more detailed and meaningful now.

Not to mention there hasn't be a straight cyberpunk RPG in forever, not even DE1 was straight cyberpunk. It was like some weird post-apocalypse cyberpunk where every NPC was a hobo and the world was made of nothing but warehouses and sewers.

@(Unverified)

I have heard people really hated the sequel to DE1, what was up with Invisible War?

Sounds like a scenario right out of DE1, which is definitely one thing I was worried they might leave out, or get wrong. If that's important enough to them to be shown as a demo, then I'm pretty happy. It's nice to have some promising news about at least one series revival.

I hope they keep some minor RPG elements like the first one had. I liked that they were actually forced by the mechanics to offer you multiple solutions in the first game. What if you have no electronics skill? They had to have viable solution for you.

Looks quite promising! I watched the trailer from PSN last night, and it looked amazing. Of course, it's only a trailer, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more info about it.

I hope the final game has more color, that sepia tone is WAY too strong, its almost monotone in some screenshots.

The sequel, by itself, is a great game. The people who hate on it are judging it based on the first game. I didn't have any expectations when I played the game, so, I was able to enjoy it.

Part of the problem was that it was significantly dumbed down. In DE you had a much more robust system for...well just about everything. You had a proper inventory, weapons had their own ammo types (one of my biggest problems with DE:IW was that every weapon used the same generic ammo. That's right, the flamethrower used the same ammo as the pistol) biomods were actually useful etc. Not to mention IW didn't have nearly the same atmosphere as DE (through visuals, audio or actual environments) It was all too shiny and perfect, and didn't have much character.

i remember playing the original when they released it for the ps2, but fps's used to give me headaches back then, so i did not keep it for long. then i got the sequel for the xbox and was bitterly disappointed. i'm not writing the franchise off yet, though. i'm still looking forward to this one, and will definetly play it when it is released.

Download it for the PC with the graphics Mods.
