Enjoyed the preview, JC. As someone who's in school as a journalism major, I've always wondered how you judge a hands-off demo of a game. A game like Child of Eden, with such a unique control scheme, almost has to be played to have an understanding of if the game is good or not.

Are there certain things you look for, or try to see how the game would play if you got the chance?

I'm not trying to question your article at all, I swear! Just wanted a better understanding into the practice of VG journalism.

That was hypnotic and really cool.

It definitely reminds me of a DMT trip.

If the music was actually any good then this would be great.

It's like....Rez made love with an ecstacy-infused angel...

@R Planteer

More likely, the angel was sitting alone in her apartment with a box of milk duds, a bottle of cheap wine, and a Rez controller.

Almost enough to make me buy a Kinect. More games like this is how they'll get the hard core gamers interested.

Sorry, after watching that video I have to ask...
What's the major difference between the PS Eye and Kinect? That video looked just like something that would be for Kinect (and a lot like this game). Is it just better technology or does Kinect do something different to detect people?

Anyone read Fahrenheit 451? This reminds me of what Montag's wife watched on her TV wall.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Btw, this is the type of game I'd love the Move as well. I'm still buying it for Sorcery and Mortal Kombat, but this would be a fine addition to my Move collection :).

The end of the video has a PS3 logo along side the 360 one. So maybe it will come to Move.

The tech is much better. If you imagine the PS-Eye as a webcam, the input will be recognition or movement, the latter of which you can see in that video.

If you watched the Ubisoft demo they repeated twice with ultimate fail, you would notice the amount of data with a fairly raw presentation of the information Kinect can collect.

Woah, can you tell me how you've come to the conclusion that I don't understand Japanese culture when I gave a vague, unsubstantiated critical opinion of a musical sub-genre which happens to be to my distaste? You didn't elaborate as to why I don't understand Japanese culture. Please do enlighten me, I'm intrigued. I hope you're aware that there's more to Japanese culture, or any culture for that matter, than a sub-genre of music. That's quite a poor argument. No offence. I know these types of games are popular in Japan, but that's not what it appears you were getting at. Again, please do enlighten me.

I don't think words could describe the essence of this game... Perhaps it's in the magnitude of the amazingly incomprehensible size of nebulas in the cosmos, and other wonderments such as magnetars of the universe...

Just wow...

Looks like I'll have to fork out some serious cash for this, Kinect and the new Xbox 360...

i think it looks stupid for Kinect now with the movie that's a whole different story the guy on stage looked like he would be orchrastrating a symphony then playing a game .. the guy looked like a idiot ... now with a Controller in hand motion wise it would tone down the stupid in and awful factor too a HUGE DEGREE.

release this with Move Support and i'l gladly buy it cause it looks fun.

I hope for more games like this to come out for the motion control games. Something about the music Q! uses in their games that just hits the mark.
Just so long as during the game the 3rd level song isn't lady gaga.
