I fully agree and add DKCR as a close second or a tie.

@dissectional75 Kirby doesn't inhale the enemies to copy their abilities anymore? I feel like that game has Super Mario 2 syndrome, where they already had the game idea mapped out then they just slapped Kirby on it to make a Kirby game.. it does look great but I hope I can still copy enemy abilities

"Kirby doesn't inhale the enemies to copy their abilities anymore?"

Honestly that part of Kirby was never that appealing to me. I know it was his staple thing but I never got into Kirby as much as other platformers in that day mostly due to that.

This new mechanic, coupled with the art style, has me very excited to get a hold of this game.

Actually Nap, the art style is some sort of homage to a Japanese Kirby commercial aired in the NES days.

So no, I don't think it has the SM2 syndrome.

I love how everyone before E3 was spazzin out over Zelda but so many people said Kirby as the best of E3. For me it was DKC, then Zelda (both of them) then Kirby and Goldeneye. Heck i'm even excited for Mario Sports Mix, though i wonder why NBA Jam wasn't shown at all.

Kirby's Epic Yarn has to be the cutest game ever, I think just became diabetic from the sweetness overload.
And Skyward Sword, while not being the best Zelda sub-title, looks awesome. The mixture ow Wind Waker and Twilight Princess art styles looks great. It sucks that Miyamoto's stage demo was plagued by technical difficulties, but I've read that the controls are really close to 1-1.

I'm quite disappointed that Nintendo is actually making an effort to localize Samurai Warriors 3, yet they won't bother to bring Fatal Frame IV out of Japan.

Yeah, there's really no excuse for that. Aside from the fact that it would be rated M, and Nintendo of America seems to have suddenly reverted to its crippling phobia of publishing M-rated titles this generation.

Don't stress about Disaster too much, it wasn't that good. One could almost say

*Puts on sunglasses*

The game was a disaster.

I dunno, dude, I don't think anything can top E3 '04. I think that was quite frankly the best E3 conference by ANY company, EVER.

I think the only wii games worth buying here are zelda and metroid, all the other ones I'm just gonna rent. Wii needs to kick it into gear in the graphics department, like what is happening with 3DS

The Mario Sports is like Mario Party but will all the Boards. And only 4 sports. It's like Wii sports I guess with Mario.

Will buy!

Here is Yarn Kirby from 20 years ago in a Japanese commercial.
Yarn Kirby is not gameplay, they didn't have the ability to do it yet.

I just was kinda surprised to see Squeenix developing a Mario sports game, of all things. But it seems that it isn't the first time it happens ._.

Specifically, the Osaka branch of Square-Enix is working on Mario Sports Mix. That's the team behind Mario Hoops 3-on-3 as well as other games like Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and KH:Birth by Sleep.

Yes, It's not first time Nintendo has done this.
For example: The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap, was developed by Capcom. That's the only example I can think of :P

If Square-Enix is making a game starring Mario, then I'm going to start expecting a Super Mario RPG remake for the 3DS.

...I know, my hopes will be crushed. :(

Totally agreed with you, compadre. I can't believe so few people have that opinion. Character art? Fine. Great. Environments? N64. Look at the goddamn trees. Just LOOK at them. And that bush in the post header? Inexcusable.

This is a 2011 video game. This is the goddamn future.

I am really looking forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns. Just hearing that music has me wanting to play the game. I look forward to the level design, the bonus levels, the fun and ALL of the music.

I hope the game is a challenge or at least has difficulty levels integrated to up the replay value and give you a real sense of accomplishment when finishing it. Nintendo has not really jumped aboard the achievement bandwagon but I hope this one includes some. I foresee "Gather Every Banana In The Game" being worth the challenge. =)

/me loads DK Jamz onto the iPod to enjoy ALL DAY tomorrow at work.
