I hope I won't start a fanboy flame war, but Nintendo won this E3. Return of Donkey Kong and Kid Icarus made me cry tears of joy.

I think that Nintendo probably had the best presentation objectively, but because I'm refraining from buying a handheld, Sony's had more of an impact on me. I agree about Sorcery, and I'm excited that it's based on Irish folklore.

@(Unverified) Nintendo had more new, never before seen games.

Sony had the big surprises.

Microsoft has the exclusives and the awkward Kinect demos.

But no one beat Ubisoft & Konami for most awkward, uncoordinated event-that-still-had-some-genuinely-good-games-to-show-off.

I didn't like how Konami kept all the best games that you knew they were going to show right until the end, so that I had to watch through the whole thing.

I have to say it was a pretty solid E3 this year. To me there weren't any ZOMG!!11!-moments, but if I had to pick any I say the 3DS took the cake. The new Xbox model was something most of us already expected, although them launching it right away for the same price was a great move.

And Sony had Kevin Butler, to me that was good enough.

@Faenix

Well, opinions are allowed, which means that people are also allowed to downvote whenever they disagree with a comment. For things that actually aren't allowed, the exclamation point is there to report it.

I've seen a lot of people get defensive over downvotes, but usually it just means that people's opinion differed, not that the comment was a troll or something like that. I maintain that it's a lot better to have the downvotes than a string of replies each saying "I agree" or "I disagree."

And thank you, Microsoft, for releasing such a sexy new 360.

Mass Effect 2, Game of the Year confirmed! (So far, anyway. I'm looking at you, Last Guardian!)

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze Was ME2 good? Im waiting till its 20/30 - right now its 40/50

Wasnt a fan of some of the aspects of ME1, though I went in expecting to direct my squad of two.. and from what I saw, you couldnt.

This is why watching pre-launch gameplay, is bad.. cause things can change. :/

http://www.gohastings.com/product/GAME/Mass-Effect-2/sku/278465973.uts

Mass Effect 2 is $20 right there.

I picked it up for $20 at K-Mart, myself, but that sale is over. :)

And yes, it's very good. Very different from the first, much more so than I had thought it would be.

Nintendo had a good run, cant wait for the 3DS and King Kong.

Microsoft was also nice, Im not interested on the slim but nice to know they improved on something that REALLY needed some attention.

Sony took the win, FOR ME. Portal 2 was a big cock smack and unexpected for me, a well welcomed title to the PS family. PSMove is the only motion controls im interested in now and E3 pretty much sealed the deal for me. Titles like KZ3, Twisted Metal and my all time fav LBP friken 2!! All titles that are nothing too short of amazing, I wish I had them NOW!

@Jacksy For me it was;

Nintendo: Donkey Kong Country Returns,

Miscrosoft: Not much knew, Gears 3..,

Sony: Sorcery, made me interested in the Move.. Medal of Honor with Frontline, portal 2 announced, Twisted Metal looks betetr then it did for me.. but I still dont like soem aspects of it. Among Other stuff. So, sony really won this year for me.

Mass Effect 2 is undoubtedly the game of the year.

I don't even like Microsoft, own a 360 or good enough PC, but I still managed to buy it and play it all the way through and then some.

My biggest fanboy love so far this year is Resonance of Fate, but there's no doubt that ME2 is the best game this year.

Was an amazing E3. Each of the three main techs the Big 3 outed (Kinect, Move, 3DS) all have their own unique potential. The next few years are going to be fun.

Nintendo: I was only expecting a release date for the new Golden Sun, and now I have at least 5 games I look foward to this holiday and the awesomeness of Kid Icarus and Paper Mario on the 3DS next year. It was a pretty solid presentation.

Microsoft: I wanted to know how Kinect is going to be integrated with Fable 3, but they didn't showed that. I can see the potential of games like Dance Central, but no... I'm not buying it.

Sony: The demo of Sorcery was all sorts of awesome. Now I kinda regret buying a 360 last year instead of a PS3.

For me, Nintendo won the presentation because they delivered a good amount of rpgs and platforming games, which are my favorite genres (and the 3DS!!). Sony came second place, even though I don't have a PS3 they made me want one. Microsoft... bleh.

To pointlessly whine and moan, I'm listing things I would have liked/preferred:

DKCR on the 3DS with emphasis on both beating levels and collecting special coins. 2.5D, but not with fully 3D backgrounds separate from the main action.

The Last Guardian revealed/dated (Spring 2011 maybe?).

Goldeneye 007 being a spot for spot remake of the N64 game but with added support for motion controls, the classic controller pro, and the Gamecube controller.

Less Kinect minigames/shovelware.

Dreamcast remakes in 16:9 720p (possibly 1080p) with their original music, and, in the case of Crazy Taxi, new popular skate punk music to go along with the already licensed tracks in the game.

Harmonix announcing Rock Band finally supports standard controllers in place of instruments (with the exception of the microphone, obviously).

New Zelda including multiple control styles (aka CCP and GC Controller).

More gameplay/in-game footage of MGS3D.

Kid Icarus not being on rails.

More news about Journey.

More news about Halo Reach.

A Wii version of DK in the style of DK64.

More news about Twisted Metal.

A cheaper Move controller/bundle. ($40 for the move, $20 for the sub, and say $20 for the camera. Bundled with a core game for $120, with a cheap game for $100).

Finally, more on Project Dust.

"A Wii version of DK in the style of DK64."

Eh, not really, more like the other donkey kong games. DK64 was a little less linear and was a 3d environment. Also, this one is a side scroller. Let's just hope it has the great music like the old donkey kong country games.
