Latest Crysis 2 shots show NYC at night

New York City is a bustling metropolis and tourist destination, but in EA's Crysis 2 it's the front line of an alien assault. These new screens depict the otherworldly attack on the city that never sleeps -- with enemies that don't either. They wreak havoc day and (in this case) night.

I'm pretty sure it's not open world.
If I remember correctly it's like Crysis 1 in the way that there are levels and objectives but it's up to you how you do it and in what order. There is no doubt the levels will be big, but it won't be a huge world.

Its not open world in terms of it being like RDR or GTA, but you'll get an objective on your map, and you'll typically have more than one route to get to that point.
However you want to get there is up to you. In Crysis 1, you could either go through the dense jungle were you could face multiple enemies, stick to the main road and face vehicles and etc. etc.
Although I gotta say, the SP for Cysis 1 did not have much replay value, I mean you could go all rambo instead of stealth, but it would typically end up the same way.
In a sense, they are giving you the illusion of "open world"

Crysis got pretty close to open world at times. It wasn't perfect, but if you wanted to postpone a mission you could just wander around the island. Couldn't go everywhere obviously, but there was large distance you could cover.

This game looks really good. I want to see how they implement the superhuman strength because that's something i need to do for the game I'm working on.
Which if you're interested, you can see at corsia.webs.com
