@Dark Archon PSN Archonik XBL Dar This is really awesome. i've never seen a game so well supported for free after release on a console before. and its a really great online game too. The 4 player mode is so sweet.

I'm glad they added online play with friends. Now they just need to add the chef class.

Fat Princess is awesome, I still play it from time to time. Just wish I had some friends to play it with. :(

It's not like Fat Princess was setting the world on fire in terms of player base, do they really want to alienate their players further but screwing up the balancing and adding 3 premium classes to the thing?

I was considering picking this game up the next time it went on sale, but they've lost me as a customer if this is the direction they're taking it.

@onan You're at no disadvantage without the DLC and they're released plenty of free stuff, including adding Co-Op in this patch - this is stuff people would just save and make a sequel with, but they've been supportive of their game for years now.

They should fix the bug that prevents you from repairing the castle doors before they worry about this stuff.

If that's not fixed in the patch, then (sadly) I won't be buying the DLC.

I thought I'd mention to all those that are saying it's 4 player split screen it's not, this is what is says at the start of the item.

the online-only PSN game will be patched to version 1.06, which adds a rather significant new feature: four-player same-screen co-op.

I've seen a E3 video and it is indeed 4 player SAME SCREEN so you all have to stay together for it to work properly.

That's a fairly significant update to the PS3 version -- what about those of us that only have the PSP as part of the Sony experience? Will the PSP version (which was basically the same game) also be getting this pirate/ninja/giant update?

I know I only spent money on a Go and not a PS3 Sony, but I still love you too!

I bought this game with couch co-op in mind, and was sorely disappointed that I couldn't enjoy this game with friends, unless they were PSN connected. Haven't played this game since launch, but I believe soon this will change.

LBP has had plenty of free DLC. They've had more paid DLC, but enough free stuff to keep me happy.

Until the Interdiction mode, hasn't all of MAG's previous DLC been free?

Reminds me of the old Champions of Norrath and Return to Arms. Two of the few games my buddy, my kid, and my wife, all enjoyed playing at the same time on the PS2.

Now I can look forward to epic Fat Princess nights until we all bore of the game, which only happened on CON and RTA after beating them a few times and we had all had reached the level cap and everyone had some sort of unique equipment or weapons.

I personally think it's a better fit than split screen. It's necessary and tolerable on games like Warhawk, Super Sonic Rocket Powered Acrobatic Battle Cars, or a local game of COD, but same screen fits better for Fat Princess, because you do have to work as a team.

I'm hoping they have 4 player same screen in Gladiator mode. Brings back memories of Return to Arms arena mode.

I'm figuring tomorrow the 22nd or next week the 28th.

@Ashkental

The best game on PSN? Maybe once this patch goes live.

But in the year an half I've had a PS3, I'd have to lean towards Warhawk or Supersonic Rocket Powered Acrobatic Battle Cars.

This game has been collecting digital cobwebs on my list of downloaded games...

Co-op would have inspired me to at least dust them off, but seeing as it's "same screen", I guess not...

We got Fat Princess and I was initially disappointed there wasn't any type of multi-player. The wife tried it and she can't put it down. I've had to readjust my MAG playing around her playing. I find I'm enjoying it too, even the kids ask to play it. Now we can all play together.

Split screen would be cool in a local 2 on 2 game (with plenty of AI). On the subject of requested features, I'd also like an option to disable 'push to talk' for voice chat.

My only question is, when you take 4 local players online, will we be able to use our own PSN accounts.

For example, when I go onto Warkawk, me and my friends are Geurtz, Geurtz(2), Geurtz(3), and Geurtz(4). I believe Supersonic Rocket Powered Acrobatic Battle Cars is the same way.

I believe LBP uses each local person's PSN id, so we would be Geurtz, pushmearound, massashaun, and TheMegan. I'm not sure this is the case, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It sure would be nice to earn points and rank up even when not the primary player.

That'd be cool, but also hopefully if someone does soemthing to unlock a trophy on their PSN it will unlock on their PSN. My fiance and I went through LBP with her and my PSN account and she got 0 trophies for the entire time we played.
