During the Hank Chien interview on Nintendo Week 6/21, he states that "The original Donkey Kong cabinets are hard to come by, but Nintendo makes a version of the game for the Virtual Console."

The only home version of the game being featured I've ever found is the unlockable in Donkey Kong 64. Obviously he's referring to the NES port, but I call shenanigans.

Virtual Console Arcade disagrees with you.

Yes the Virtual Console Arcade exists, but it doesn't include a port of Donkey Kong. The only version of Donkey Kong currently on the Virtual Console is in the NES section, because it's a port of the NES port of Donkey Kong. And in case you didn't know, the NES port is missing a whole level, which is a big deal when the original arcade version only has four levels.

You know, this would be cool except that my console can't friggin' load a video on the Nintendo Channel in its entirety without stuttering and stopping to buffer every couple of seconds. I'd blame my connection, but I've experienced the exact same thing attempting to watch videos on Nintendo's official website. What the hell kind of video encoding or whatever are they using?

@gatotsu911

Could be your connection on the computer as well. Though Nintendo channel rarely works well for me either, nor does BBC iPlayer because of it on Wii (at same time of day as BBC iPlayer on PC as well, so nothing to do with the change in bandwidth at peak times).

Okamiden was at E3 yet Joystiq has shown no coverage of it? This is one of THE games of 2011 as far as I'm concerned.
