Got too busy playing WoW while making Spider Man 3. It makes sense.

I'm a former WoW-player turned WoW-hater, but i still love the Warcraft universe and I'm really looking forward to this.

Oh, and Sam Raimi rules.

This pretty much has to end up being the greatest video game movie ever and the highest grossing video game movie ever.

It's a low bar, and this is Sam Raimi, so I don't see how this won't happen.

Man, do Sam and Ted ever look alike. When I first saw that picture I was thinking, "Joxer the mighty!"

I NEVER saw Sam before in a picture until today but immediately I thought yep, that's Ted's brother all right!

I just started watching Hercules again on netflix. I loved that show when it first aired and it's still great.

Hercules is cool, yes, but my first thought was Xena! Now, if an awesome new Xena game comes out, I'll be first in line.

Joxer did play a bigger role in Xena, especially later in the series if I remember correctly. Those types of light-hearted, campy shows that can also pull off serious topics are always my favorites. Angel is another show I felt was in the same spirit. It certainly didn't hurt that all these shows had excellent action/fight scenes.

Even though it's a movie, I think Warcraft has great potential to be serious with awesome action while still staying humorous and fun. It's a delicate balance but if anyone can pull it off, it's Sam Raimi.

I hope Raimi can make a good movie from this. Warcraft has seriously great movie potential.

The only thing I'm sad about, is no mention if Bruce Campbell might have a part in the film, would love to see him as a Paladin. Hell, make him a Bloodelf Paladin, and that alone will more than make up for the races girlyness in the game.

Seriously though, Raimi's a great director, and while I'm sure it'll be 100% in-world, there is guaranteed some of his unique sense of humor in it.

@DarkTwisted I'm glad to hear that. A lot of people started looking down on him after Spider Man 3 didn't turn out the way we thought it would. It wasn't a horrible film, just not nearly as good as the hype made it to be. Regardless, he's still a competent director and I'm really glad he's not taking the Tron approach cause that would just be lame. Bruce Campbell MUST be in this.

If he had no life, he'd be at least level 78. It's challenging, but you can have a life at 73 or below.

I don't see why this needs to be a live action movie. I think I would enjoy this more if it was basically a Toy Story/WoW Intro movie film. Unless he can make the movie feel similar to LoTR or Conan the Barbarian it will end up like a D&D convention or worse yet; hicks with swords...

Personally, I would like the movie to be based off the graphic novel Death Knight, but I am sure it would give most people nightmares...
