I know it is a good deal and all, but I am having a hard time dropping $100 for a controller for a single game.

It's for fighting game enthusiasts. So it's not just one game if you have many fighting games. Plus it's great for XBL Arcade or PSN games that are old school and only one joystick is required.

You can use this for any fighting game that ever comes out ever. Also you can use them for old school arcadey games and PSN/XBLA shoot-em-ups. But I can see where your coming from if SFIV is the only game that you are interested in that utilizes the stick.

Like the comments above, I got mine for SFIV initially, but once you get accustomed to using one, if you aren't already, it's easy to put it to use in other games.
Coincidentally, I finally figured out and set up MAME and the 360 version of the stick works like a charm. Using it to play games like Sunset Riders, Bad Dudes, Mortal Kombat and SFII really brings that arcade feel home without the dankness.

I know a lot of ppl are saying that it is for enthusiasts and all, but I have to agree that $99 seems too high for a peripheral like this

Then again let me also admit I am a bit cheap and think $60 is too much for a regular controller...

i was happy to pay $150 for one of these when they first went on sale for pre-order in early 2009. if you are in the market for a quality arcade joystick- this thing is one of the best home arcade sticks i've ever seen and is a steal at this price for a new one :)

also- it's really easy to remove the front plastic panel and replace the artwork with your own customized (or custom downloaded) background design :D
