Fat Princess getting plumper with Fat Roles DLC on June 29
27
Next Tuesday, Fat Princess' roster of playable classes will be fattened considerably when the Ninja, Pirate and Giant archetypes (which have been frequently teased over the past year) hit the PSN as part of the "Fat Roles" pack. The expansion, which will cost $4.99, includes the three classes and four new maps, all of which are previewed in the trailer posted after the jump.
If you're strapped for cash, the game is also getting a free update adding four-player couch multiplayer to the game, which should lead to some noisy banter to concern your neighbors. "Put down the girl, stuff that cake in her mouth, and then let's kill this priest!"

ENOUGH!!! No more Portal cake jokes! The next person who uses "cake" and "lie" in the same sentence will be virtually punched in the balls!

Fat Princess is a cute and slick game but the online gameplay is severely hampered by peered hosting. Lag, drop outs, and the ever looming threat of the host are facts of life. Would it have killed Sony to build dedicated hosting into a game which would massively benefit from it?

@DrXym.
I've played well over 100 games of Fat Princess and have little if any problems with the servers/lag.
Maybe you just lucked out with your location or just have a bad internet connection.

All four maps are available for free through content updates, they aren't part of the DLC.

@mairondil It's been confirmed for EU region and most people are assuming this will apply to NA region also. "Month 1 Discounts: LBP God of War Pack – 50%, LBP: LocoRoco costume pack – 50%, Gravity Crash – 20%, Fat Princess DLC – 20%" http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/06/23/playstation-plus-explained/

Not worth it. It may be a cool game, but it's not worth it to buy a $300 console solely to play it! If you think that the graphic presentation makes it look like a better version of Castle Crashers well, don't be fooled like I was. It's not really like Castle Crashers at all and, to be honest, it gets really boring after a while.
Furthermore, I'm not really sure why the developers haven't released this on the 360. It stands to reason that they would make a lot more money if they did.

@acme64 Dude there are MUCH better reasons to get a PS3 over Fat Princess. The game is fun but you have UC 1&2, iFamous, MGS4, MLB 10 The Show, etc..
