Final Fantasy returns to the San Francisco Symphony July 15 and 16

Following sold-out performances last year, the San Francisco Symphony will be performing two concerts next month featuring music from the Final Fantasy series. What's more, series maestro Nobuo Uematsu will be in attendance and appear at meet & greet events following the July 15 and 16 performances.
The symphony will be presenting music from multiple FF releases, plus some from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV. Vocalist Susan Calloway -- who first performed the English version of Final Fantasy X's main theme live in 2009 -- is also on the program. Tickets to both nights of the concert are on sale now at the SF Symphony's website and range in price from $30 to $105 apiece. If you have a lot of gil to spare, tickets to the meet & greet are available through Ticketweb for $75 a pop, though concert organizers have told Joystiq that the Friday, July 16 opportunity to meet Uematsu et al. is already sold out.

Its $75 JUST to meet the man? What the hell....
I saw this earlier while listening to Pandora radio, and I thought "hey, I want to go to that," but I didn't pay attention to the actual ticket price for meeting him until now.
God dammit. :(

I'd like to see them appear in Vegas. Then I could actually afford to travel there.

Just FYI: Distant Worlds is from Final Fantasy XI (there is no English version of the theme to FFX).

I really hope they will stream this online like they did with the Symphonic Fantasies Orchestra.

Saw this performance in Seattle. While I'm not huge on FF these days, the orchestrations were amazing - the only thing I could have asked for were a few more original/obscure choices in songs (aren't we all tied of Aerith's Theme and One-Winged Angel by now?) Oh, and some of the projected cutscenes were unnecessary, but you can always just close your eyes for that. Good times.
Oh, an Uematsu wore the most adorable outfit, looking like a Shinto Han Solo.
