Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2 gain +10 cheapness on Amazon

At their standard retail prices, BioWare titles typically offer players an unparalleled amount of HEPD, or "hours of enjoyment per dollar." That highly scientific ratio has been significantly altered by Amazon today.

I haven't heard any rumors, but I'm sure it will happen eventually. I'm hoping we'll hear something about an all-in-one bundle this Fall.

I was trying to hold out, but Gamefly just had a sale so I picked it up for $20.

$20? I don't think I'd be able to resist that.

With all these sales on both games, why not just finally lower the overall price?

@(Unverified) Because this way- Someone buys it because it's on sale, realizes how awesome it is, tells his/her friends and then they buy it (to get all the DLC). Either they get it on sale, or at full price if they can't find it on sale anymore. Either way, it's another sale for Bioware that they may not have had.

@Ashkental Because bluray is a more costly format, most likely.

It's a crime that Awakening is the same price as the full Origins, but at least that price is lessened.
At the rate video game prices drop, I'm going to do a better job of holding off on buying from now on.

Protip: Never buy a Ubisoft game for retail price, they drop like rocks. It happens time and time again.
Except Beyond Good & Evil 2. That's going to be full price for like eight years, it'll actually go up in price, so you should buy some extra copies just to be on the safe side. Like 20.

I pulled the trigger on Mass Effect 2 back in May when it was on sale for $40 at Amazon; I will never break my "wait six months" rule again.
