@RANDOM G Joystiq Troll Slayer Has there been any sort of hint of a rumor that this was happening? I've been holding off as well waiting for a GOTY edition.

I haven't heard any rumors, but I'm sure it will happen eventually. I'm hoping we'll hear something about an all-in-one bundle this Fall.

@RANDOM G Joystiq Troll Slayer

I was trying to hold out, but Gamefly just had a sale so I picked it up for $20.

$20? I don't think I'd be able to resist that.

With all these sales on both games, why not just finally lower the overall price?

@(Unverified) Because this way- Someone buys it because it's on sale, realizes how awesome it is, tells his/her friends and then they buy it (to get all the DLC). Either they get it on sale, or at full price if they can't find it on sale anymore. Either way, it's another sale for Bioware that they may not have had.

Why PS3 games are always more expensive?

@Ashkental Because bluray is a more costly format, most likely.

I think it has to do with previous sales volume. The initial prices are the same, but the Xbox sells more units sooner resulting in lower prices earlier.

@Ashkental Consoles are also higher-priced than PC games because the publisher has to pay royalties to Microsoft/Sony; no royalties need to be paid on PC. Which is why $60 PC games like Assassin's Creed II are a rip-off.

A better question is *where* does he need that headgear?

If you answered "nowhere", you win!

It's a crime that Awakening is the same price as the full Origins, but at least that price is lessened.

At the rate video game prices drop, I'm going to do a better job of holding off on buying from now on.

Protip: Never buy a Ubisoft game for retail price, they drop like rocks. It happens time and time again.

Except Beyond Good & Evil 2. That's going to be full price for like eight years, it'll actually go up in price, so you should buy some extra copies just to be on the safe side. Like 20.

I pulled the trigger on Mass Effect 2 back in May when it was on sale for $40 at Amazon; I will never break my "wait six months" rule again.
