I still want Banjo Kazooie and Tooie, and DK64. I'm glad to see Mario Tennis though if only to see that Nintendo IS still putting games on the VC, lol.

@Co The only one of those that we'll ever see is Donkey Kong 64.

Banjo-Kazooie and -Tooie are on XBLA if you want to play them.

Is there any word that the Banjo-Kazooie games will be out on the VC? They've already received the HD-treatment on the 360 and I would think that Rare (ie Microsoft) would have all the rights to those games.

Yeah the Banjo titles are probably Microsoft owned at this point. It's all very confusing to me though how they get the rights to Banjo but Nintendo will still have the updated Goldeneye game later this year. So freaking odd how that all works out legally speaking.

I wouldn't even expect DK64, considering how Rare developed it.

But then again, Rare developed the 3 original DKC titles for SNES and those are on there. If it did come out, I'd expect it to around the time of DKCR's release.

Goldeneye is a part of the James Bond license which is not copryrighted to any game company but it basically bought and sold to whatever company buys the rights. Nintendo and Rare had the rights when they made Goldeneye, which they then sold to EA, and then EA sold the rights to Activision. The license lets them use any Bond movie they wish, or even completely new stories. Activision is publishing Goldeneye for Wii, not Nintendo. Nintendo has nothing to do with it in terms of rights or development.

Activision can't remake Rare's game comlpletely, but they can make a game based on the movie.

Jett Rocket, with two "t"s? If it was Joan Jett with a rocket pack, GOTY.

Technically it's Mario sports, yes, but next to the MarioKart games, Tennis64 was the best Mario sports game ever.

That said, I won't be downloading because I still have the cart on a still-operable N64. ^_^

I finally just gave up and bought it on eBay. It was expensive, but it was well worth it.

Am I the only one who cares about Maestro? I played the European version. It was pretty fun, but lacking in content. But for $5, it's worth it.

Hey, Mario Tennis!! Am I the only one who liked that better than its GameCube sequel?

Nope. I'm the same way. Plus if you used the GBC Mario Tennis game and imported your character this game became way more fun.

I liked both, but the Gamecube one got annoying with those Power shots. I can't tell you how long the rounds go when the AI uses WaLuigi's defensive shot ALL day, so frustrating. It became a power shot game rather than tennis. The only thing I liked more with the Gamecube one was it had more gameplay options, but I still give the overall tilt to the N64 game.

Jett Rocket looks really nice - probably the best graphics of a WiiWare game. I have no idea how it plays, mind you...

Also, hi there Virtual Console! Long time no see.

That video reminded me a lot of the first Ape Escape. It definitely looks like an interesting game.

I remember Nintendo or HAL labs stating that due to to so-called "legal" issues, the game can't be released stateside. *Sigh* Personally, I think games like this don't have a snowball's chance in Hell of ever being released. Then again, I'm surprised Nintendo is still breathing life into the VC. The ESRB should have never posted that game on their website in the first place (they posted it as being a game that would be released on the VC back in 2007). Oh well, at least I have Snes9xGx to play it on. If Nintendo wants to stop "piracy", they have to release the game in question. (Yeah, as if owning the original cartridge is piracy!)

What they need to do (Nintendo) is put out VC games based on voting popularity from fans and owners of Wiis. That would draw ALOT of attention back to VC and generate some buzz AND sales.

Whenever my friends and I get together after all the CoD's SSF, GH, Melee (and whatever else we may play or do) we always leave time to play Mario Tennis on my pikachu themed N64. Great game!

Europe got Mario Tennis a week earlier, and it's pretty addictive so far. Only played 8 hours but can see it going for a while longer.
