Just the opposite, Joystiq. None of my friends want anything to do with the iPad. I'm the only one that thinks it's pretty awesome. I'd be the pariah of my friends if I bought one.

@Levi In my experience, people only hate them until they play with one for a couple minutes. Just sedate them and strap them into a chair and you'll be good to go.

Plus that way they'll be too terrified to ever disrespect you again.

I truly hate the iPad. Not just for in it's lack of features such as flash support, USB; SD; or anything like that to connect something to it, open platform, limited storage space, and still no multitasking, but for it's price. I mean, if I had the choice between a netbook (eePC or similar) or an iPad, I would choose the iPad only because I could sell it and buy a half decent HP, Gateway, ASUS, Toshiba, or Sony PC that might be able to run a half decent game, dual boot, and have at least 250GB of storage. Does any iPad game have over 800 cars like Gran-Turismo? Or maybe have 5 PSOne classics installed on it? For half the price, I got a PSP go and have all of those FULL games and more on it. Maybe I could browse the web better on an iPad, but I would still need my PC or eventually, Windows or WebOS tablet, to run Steve Jobs' most hated internet application: Adobe Flash, the DEFINITIVE standard for web video/ simple web apps at least in today's world.

@CooperDog1 iPad should never be a primary PC. It's just not for that. It's a tremendous travel device, though. I'm not a Mac person, but the iPad is excellent for my work travel needs. I have a regular computer I keep at home for home purposes.

I want to buy Mirror's Edge, but the reviews say it's incredibly short, so I'm waiting for it to go down in price.
I'm not really impressed with the games that are out for the iPad now, but it did just come out, so I'm willing to give developers some time. I can't wait to see what Square Enix will do on it (besides that stupid chocobo memory game).

Wow, nice to know that the best of the app store games can't even stand up at all to DS/PSP titles. I'm sold. :/

@Esposch

How can you believe this even after the idevices surpassed the psp in marketshare already? Where were you when Nintendo said that Sony was no longer a viable enemy and Apple was the only enemy left?

It's like you wrote this comment a couple years ago and it fell out by mistake.

@Esposch I agree with you there, hoss.

I haven't seen anything yet that would make me put down my PSP or DS in favor of an iPad game.

And marketshare =/= quality.

If that were the case, I'm sure McDonald's would be heralded as the finest dining possible.

Rhythm Racer 2 HD and Tap Tap Radiation. Those have got to be the two best free iPad rhythm games there are.

Heck yes you forgot a favorite! Howabout the amazing Super Shock Football HD developed by MEEEEEEEEeeeeeEEEeee! Seriously it's a great game, and if you're interested in a casual football game with some humor in it then you should give it a look. It was great on the iphone but we re did alot of stuff to make it a perfect fit for the iPad. It's retro electric football at it's finest baby!

The best Risk-like strategy game is Dominion HD.

Great online support and community. You can be in multiple games and take your turn when you have time, like Words with Friends. Latest patch added Push notification, so you'll get poked when you have online Turns to take.

They could give away all the free games they want, I will never own an iPad, regardless of the fact that I don't own am iPod Touch or iPhone. I tried the iPad at the Apple store; it's cute, but rather small and doesn't seem like it would e useful for anything.
