@imeNrique YOU sir...or...ummm...madam tranny thing, are incorrect...Mushroom Wars is by far not anywhere on the best psn games list...its actually a regrettable purchase...its the kind of game that makes you demand everything gets a demo...

So, PlayStation Plus is officially released. Is cross-game chat supported yet?

@davidjtate No, that won't be a feature of PlayStation Plus' initial launch.

does cross game chat mean you can chat with someone while your playing a game to someone not playing a game? or with someone who's playing the same game or a different game? or both?

@(Unverified) I just Googled to prove you wrong. And it turned out you were right. Wow. So there's officially no reason to get PlayStation Plus unless you want discounts on games?

@davidjtate PS plus is mainly free games and discounts, but there are some other features like automatic downloads. The amount of free content (not including discount content) definitely outweighs the price of the service.

I would rather have free games and content than cross game chat. Of course, I would rather have most anything than cross game chat.

They didn't give us the promised 2nd mini or any dynamic themes with PS Plus, and no answer to the repeated questions about it on the PS Blog. Not cool!

@SolidSnakeEyes Well, there's time yet, right? Perhaps they're internally calling this a July update, with how close to the end of June it is. Or perhaps the freebies for the "first month" could be released over the rest of the ~30 days.

@NekoDaimyo It's possible, but they should be letting us know what's going on instead of under-delivering on the promised content and then letting the blog comments go crazy with people who want to know why the content is missing. Plus, they aren't making a good impression for people who are getting ready to either purchase a subscription or not. It's just stupid on their part.

@SolidSnakeEyes You're complaining about missing content? Don't you think it's a little silly that they're giving you a game trial, a full game (with platinum), a PS one classic, a mini, 7 add-ons, a theme, and 2 avatars, all for free (a $34.91 value), plus $26.96 worth of more discounts off games and add-ons... and you're getting upset because they "should" have given another mini and a dynamic theme? They're already offering a value of $61.87, which is way beyond the price for something that will give you 14 additional months of this. Getting pissed off because they could have given you another $5 game seems to me like a waste of energy.

@linebeginstoblur Oops, forgot to include the value of WipEout HD. So if you just get the free items, it's a value of $54.90, and across the board, it's a total value of $81.86. Do you see what I mean when I say that getting upset just because it isn't $88.84 instead is almost silly?

Not many people caught it, but the PS Blog added in a little bonus no one seemed to catch. PSN Plus comes with a free Qore subscription, so add 24.99 to that ongoing total of yours!

@linebeginstoblur Funny you should ask, no I don't think it's a little silly. I either own or am not interested in most of this month's content. The other mini was one of the only things I was eager to try out. It was promised and has failed to show up with no explanation. I think it's entirely reasonable for me to be irritated. If they'd just explained what was wrong it'd be fine and I'd wait patiently for the other game, but that didn't happen and now they're burying their heads in the sand instead of responding to all the people who want to know WTF is up.

Anyone know if Playstation Plus content works across accounts? Like if I sign up for it on one account, download WipeOut HD and some free DLC, will it work on the other accounts on the system?

I know that that does work for regular stuff, but I just have my doubts with the Playstation Plus.

@The Harbinger of Pie Games will work across other accounts on the same console, I think the SCEE guy confirmed that. I know it's been officially confirmed by someone though.

i hope so, as my account for purchases is separate than the account I game on... (during sign up, i chose US instead of Canada, and pre paid game cards won't work on that account and I don't want to have to get all my trophies again on my purchase account).

Anyone know if previous games saves from the disc based inFAMOUS will work with the downloaded copy? I would like to purchase it as a download (yes, you heard that right) but I don't want to lose my saved games if I do so.

@EncodedNybble I can't confirm 100%, but I know my Final Fantasy VII disc-based saves worked when I downloaded it from PSN, so I think it's safe to deduce that your saves will work fine as well. I'm pretty sure the PS3 just thinks a save is a save.

and one thing that's somewhat related. i had warhawk on disc and got all the DLC packs, and i later sold the game. i want it again, and i was thinking of just downloading it since it's pretty hard to find in my area. would the DLC for the disc work with the download too? because in the store, there are separate packs for disc and download. i sure am hoping so...

All the stuff there totals up to more than a years sub, and this is in one week.

While I agree that most of the stuff is pretty trivial, and it loses value for being locked out when your sub ends, I'm sure a full years worth of updates will more than balance out.

Did none of you read the post? It says Cross-game chat is coming, and it'll only be available to those WITH playstation plus. So either way, you're gonna need PS+. But they're coming out with it, most likely this year, whether its a few months, or next month.

@imeNrique The full game trial for Plus subscribers says (6.90 GB Required), so I don't see why the full game for purchase would be any different (though, if you do get the trial, and you play through all 60 minutes, you will have to redownload the full version..., which MIGHT mean there COULD be some difference in size, but the full game doesn't seem to give you how much is required)
