Did I completely miss out on all the Rage coverage? Where the hell was it?

@LordHumongous I also wanted to hear more about this game. Bethesda are one of my favorite companys, apart from the fact that they didn't feature the new elder scrolls game at E3. I want my medievil RPG fix!

@LordHumongous G4 covered Rage with a live demo to boot. Adam Sessler couldn't stop talking about; deservedly so, that game looks gorgeous.

I was watching Reviews On The Run (Canadian show) and the majority vote for the best game shown at E3 went to... wait for it...

KIRBY'S EPIC YARN!

It was pretty hilarious because they were all laughing and in disbelief that they, themselves agreed to that selection, but they just couldn't get over how much they fell in love with it. Awesome.

@Uncle Jesse

Yeah, Kirby's Epic Yarn won Best Graphics over at GameTrailers! It was awesome, the amount of fanboy tears was hilarious.

And as long as Dance Central doesn't win Game of Show, I'll be okay.

The hype around it is as crazy as people that think if they learn the choreography from the game, they'll actually be able to 'dance'.

@Wiizer

I'm also getting tired of the media's crush for Dance Central.

It reminds of last year when every major gaming outlet was drooling over scribblenauts and what happened there?

If Harmonix wasn't behind this game no one would care but you how the gaming blogs love to play up certain devs more than others.

I completely forgot to check reviews on the run for their E3 coverage!

Well, I guess I have something to do on my lunch break now!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Scribblenauts turn out to be a pretty successful game? I would say that "that's what happened there."

Because 46 is so far ahead of 39, I can't see anything BUT a massive flame-war happening.........

Right?

Well Dance central is 4 of the 7 difference, so It was probably just one of the core games getting a few more nominations on the 360.

Not worth a flamewar. Can't help but to scratch my head though.

Portal 2
Assassins Creed Brotherhood
Fallout New Vegas
Fable III
Sorcery
Crysis 2
inFamous 2
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
(Insert Awesome 3DS game here)

@Naoki7

Several sites had live demos at e3, check youtube.

It's a technical showpiece for sure, but not much else i'm afraid, story and gameplay look uninspired, nothing stands out besides the art direction

Zelda, 3DS, Kinect, Fable III, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Metroid: Other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Reach, and Gears 3 are my top games.

Nothing on PS3 caught my eye. I was interested in Move until E3 made me realize it's just not worth it.

I've got a ton of 360 and Wii games I want, though.

To be very honest with you. Killzone 3, Gran Turismo 5, and Little Big Planet 2, inFamous 2 are cool games, but not everyone was shocked that Sony would announce those titles. It was pretty expected.
Twisted Metal? Now, that was a shocking announcement. Cause it seemed like the series was dead after Black.

Now, Sly Cooper Collection was something I wish they would've gone over more, than just sprinkle a clip here and there. Sorcery looked like a very interesting new IP. But I can see how someone can get excited to see the Nintendo lineup cause it seemed like they did revamp their old IPs and introduce a new technology. And the 360's lineup just looked so BIG, cause they set it up with so much showmanship.

Sony had an excellent show, I just was a little turned off by the snarkiness. If they focused more on the games and less on the new commercials, it would've worked wonders.

Well to be fair the rules for the E3 judges was that any nominated game had to be a playable one, so while Sorcery was a great game on-stage it wasn't playable showroom floor.

Rage did look amazing. I'm disappointed Star Wars:TOR didn't make it into the best in show category. But I guess MMOs aren't as universally loved as other game types.

No Vanquish? I am seriously the only one that went straight to the bone zone when I saw the demo of it? The only vid that has a guy that actually knows how to play that game is on gametrailers sadly, but still.

@(Unverified) I enjoyed Doom 3 a lot, but it's been too long and by what they showed, Bulletstorm looks nearly as good but far more imaginative and fun than Rage.

But i'm hoping that Bethesda ditch their terrible engine and use the IdTech5 for the next Fallout, sounds like the perfect marriage.

It's okay, "Game Critics"! I totally understand why you left out LittleBigPlanet 2.

It's obvious that you would have needed to nominate it in every category, so you decided to leave it out for the sake of fairness.

idc if 360 had 46 nominations, its all about who wins it. past two years, LBP2 and UC2 both took like ALL the awards and PS3 exclusive. i would guess its 360s time to time shine? as long as it isnt dance central

@Wiizer And the fact that I didn't means I can't like Dance Central? That's like saying I can't get excited for Rock Band 3 because I'm not buying Power Gig. Sure the basics of the game are the same, but the execution is what separates them.

I saw videos of Rage. It didn't look THAT spectacular. Sure, guys can jump off walls in a non-scripted manner, but is that all it takes? It looked like another shooter to me.

@Lerkero My thoughts exactly. Maybe they showed something unbelievable for "Game Critics" at closed doors but judging by what i saw, those critics could be renamed "Graphic Whores"
