Yey! Bioshock 2 was one of my favorite games of 2010 so far, not a huge fan of multiplayer though so this is just what I needed.

@Shiaoran It was a real question, you jerks. I haven't played Bioshock 2 yet and am not sure if these 6 levels are worth the wait and the money.

So they took the worst part of Bioshock 1&2 (defending little sisters), and decided that we would like more of that.

Hmm.

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze I found it quite fun and challenging. Everybody has their own opinion though right?

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze

I disagree, at first I hated this part of Bioshock 2, but as I gained more traps and plasmids it became really fun and I would take great care in preparing a room and planning my strategy before setting down my precious Little Sister to do her deed.

That being said, I wish they would have released this a long time ago, as my copy of Bioshock 2 is long gone by now.

@Thorz I completely agree!

Some people loved it, and I can see why, and respect that opinion.

I couldn't stand it, however.

/sigh

Wow, it's like you extracted the same thought from my head. That chapter of BS1 almost made me quit the game. If I wasn't so invested in the story I wouldn't have.

I normally don't like protecting missions in any game, but they weren't that bad in BioShock 2. Grab a couple of bots, throw down some turrets, throw down some mines, put your back to a wall with a good view of the Little Sister and proceed to dominate.

Omg, dlc aimed towards the single player experience? in bioshock? Holy cow that took long enough...

Doubt I'd pick up the Protector Trials but I may be persuaded to snag something that expands the storyline - if i still have my copy when it comes out

I just beat this game recently (been back-logged) and I was very upset there was no final boss battle....really they should have had DLC of that. Granted I would have complained about it being DLC and not in the game like it should have been...still.

Yeah me too, I guess I was just expecting it since that is how most game end. It did feel kinda anti-climatic.

gotta disagree here, the last 45 mins or so of the game were really intense. it felt like one big long boss battle to me.

The last moments of the game felt like all the other moments of the game to me just a few more of the harder enemies...it was lame.

Wow, this guy hated both game's ending areas. AND he's crying about it. That's one dedicated gamer.

Not every single game has to have a final huge boss battle to be a good ending.

The ending to the story was awesome, don't get me wrong. But the action was anti-climactic, or rather I was hoping for some variation of it.

Ahh, so still waiting for the 'Rapture Handyman' DLC where 2K actually get their fingers out and fix the multiplayer...... all for a small fee, of course

Why does so much DLC never come to the PC? You port the game but not the DLC?

Maybe because PC players demand everything for free?

I loved Bioshock 2, but it's been too long since I've beat it for me to jump right back in for a little DLC.

And I'm willing to bet that in time for the holidays, there will be a Bioshock 2 release bundled with all the DLC for a price around the $30 mark.

I love Bioshock 2, but I just haven't bothered buying any DLC - just not worth it so far, because the multiplayer is kind of lacking players...

Maybe some single player DLC will be more worth while, but this first single player DLC sounds straight up boring.

I will buy this, and I agree about setting up the room with traps. Pretty funny and exciting to watch a room full of traps spring into action when all those bad guys come in to try and mess with me girls. Can't wait for more single player action and can't wait for Bioshock 3.

Wow, I saw the headline and was thinking, "this is going to be $10, which is about $5 too much."

So, erm... I can't really argue with this, presuming it is of good quality!

I really like Bioshock 2, especially the combat. Setting up traps and protecting the little sisters was lots of fun.

Ehh...this part of the game was only fun when you had the tonics and upgraded defense weapons to make it fun. They must've realized that no one is playing the multiplayer anymore, and thus they won't make any money on the on-disc DLC.

Also, I'm finishing up the single player and I've consistently experienced the most awful texture pop-in since Mass Effect 1. I don't ever remember reading about this back in February, but it's really embarrassing.

We didn't need this sequel and we sure don't need DLC of the worst part of the game.
