Let Cliff Bleszinski show you Bulletstorm's 'Hideout' level
38
Stylish and thoroughly sadistic, Bulletstorm -- the arcade-style FPS from People Can Fly and Epic Games -- was one of the best things we played at E3. Naturally, we wanted more ... and its creators have delivered, in the form of the new walkthrough video found after the break. But it's not any old walkthrough. This one's narrated by none other than Gears of War creator and Epic's designer director, Cliff "Seriously, Don't Call Me CliffyB" Bleszinski.
Marvel at the carnage that unfolds in the newly revealed "Hideout" level. Cower behind desk furniture as a storm of bullets rips apart space pirates. Forgive us for being so melodramatic -- we just really dig this game so far.

Good, something great to play for a change. This has taken the ideas originally from the game, The Club - but wrapped it up into a FPS with better design, gameplay and graphics. Good work.

Looks like a fun game, but I'm not sure I like how long the little bonuses stay on screen. "Headshot +100" and such just seem to linger a bit too much. It looks really distracting at the part where he picks up the gatling gun and it says "Full Throttle" all over the screen.

2:54 made me actually laugh out loud, so had to post.
I have to hand it to Cliff, he really seems to have a good eye for what is fun and appealing. Further, I've had Xbox Live gold almost since the start and have rarely played games online. I would so love to play this with other people.
Looks like it may be addictive.

I see a lot of Painkiller inspirations there. Which is awesome, since I loved Painkiller.

I think Cliffy gets way too much hate. In interviews and stuff he always comes off as a really decent, down-to-earth guy, and he always has something interesting to say.
Check out this interview with him, for example: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/22/cliff-bleszinski-gears-of-war-3-interview/
End the Cliffy hate! Begin the Cliffy love!

Was that really a Sham-Wow Vince commercial that popped up after the video? Haven't seen that in forever.
Game looks interesting, I'm still on the fence.

This looks friggin awesome. Some nice touches on the standard shooter. This honestly looks a hundred times better than Gears. I know there are a lot of differences between the games, but it's still surprising to see two very different games in the same genre come from the same durector.

was he reading from a script? the game looks cool- but i'm pretty sure he made the same "toy with your enemies like a cat plays with a mouse. or a fat kid plays with cake" joke when he showed this at E3. it felt forced the first time i heard it, and it's like he isn't even trying to sell the humor at all this time. just very... awkward.

The voice acting and dialogue is cheesy as hell, but the gameplay looks ace and I'm definitely looking forward to this one.
