@MLC

Just text the word DOGDAYS to the number 72579. I received my code in less than 2 seconds. Already downloading the demo now. It is around 1.64GB.

Yeah but how much does that text cost? I ain't paying $2 for a text to get a code for a demo that should be freely available anyway.

Thanx. Worked for me. The game does have some potential to it but it seems that it could use a bit more polish. The style and viewing angle of the game are both really cool.... kind of like playing an episode of the shield. But for all the realism that it attempts it doesn't quite deliver yet... With the "camera guy running behind view" it may have been wiser to never cut away from that angle as opposed to loaded cut scenes in the middle of a level. Potential...potential.

Why the hell put a code if it's not a beta?!?

This is a horrible idea. Having people work to get access to your demo to promote your game will only turn people off it.

@Drumminjay108 Especially considering that the original game was largely regarded as a turd. Who thought this was a good idea?

@Drumminjay108 I think the point is that the game is bad, and by making people do something for the demo they'll walk away with a better impression. Some people in this thread are paying for it by texting 6-digit numbers... that's so sad.

@jsx92 I'm not paying for it by texting.. I get 1500 text messages a month and 4 text messages isn't crap to me. I thought since many were trying to figure out a way to get the demo, it would help speed the process up instead of trying to "Win" a code via some of the other methods. Remind me not to help out on here next time.. Thanks!

I played the demo this midday. I dont like it, the visuals arent that great, the camera is shaky. Well I think they just wanted that but I didnt like it. The shooting is that great either... well thats just my opinion. The gritty vibe is cool though.

For some unknown reason Google Chrome deleted Joystiq from my top 8 sites visited. Weird.

@343 Guilty Fart It's because it's an AOL site.

What do you mean by that? Did Google get rid of all AOL sites overnight or something?

Kind of defeats the purpose of a demo, don't you think?

After how bad the first game was, they should be paying us to play their demo instead of setting up these hoops to jump through. Pass.

On cheapassgamer a post regarding this mentioned "Text Stop to 72579 to stop text messages." So I assume anyone who texts for the code will be getting periodic promo texts from Square-Enix or whoever otherwise.

Oh, and yeah, this idea is stupid beyond comprehension.

I guess that means we're due for another bribery story soon too since they didn't learn as evidenced by the shitty Tomb Raider game.

You guys act like this is the first time you've had to work to get on a demo.

I don't see you people complaining about the Medal of Honor beta. Hypocrites. The lot of you.
