And sure enough, players have found code in the game's most recent update that shows a "golden wrench" is indeed coming to the Engineer. This video shows that the golden/Australium wrench will freeze opponents in their path, turning them into gold on the spot, and this teaser video shows some other possible goodies due for the update as well. Leave it to Valve to turn a simple class deathmatch into a wild scavenger hunt for secret items and histories.
Team Fortress 2 comic, code hint at Engineer update

If you think Team Fortress 2 is just a quality, team-based shooter, you'd be wrong. It's a quality, team-based shooter with a ton of lore building up behind it, and every update seems to bring a little more backstory and a little more meaning into the picture. Take, for example, this recently-released Engineer comic, which hints at two major updates to the Engineer class coming soon to the game. First, a metal called Australium, which has some special properties and a golden hue, and second, a life-extender machine which, you might guess, extends life.
Australians are a bunch of moustache-wearing beer-swilling fight-starting tech-inventing idiot savants, and that apparently would just be the women.

TF2 will be COMPLETE soon! AGAIN!
Gotta give love to Valve for all the support they've put into this game. They're released over 100 updates to this game and the updates still don't seem to be slowing down.
High Five Valve!

@liquidsoap89 This is why I love PC gaming and Valve. Console gamers are never going to get these updates, and if they do they're gonna be charged.

@(Unverified) Actually there is also a hidden image on the site that hints at the idea that there is a third "green" sibling. Could it be, a new TEAM in TF2?

Check the TF2 forums. They're going crazy with it. Apparently someone got an e-mail back from one of that games head where his reply spelt "limited" with the first letter of each sentence.

I wish that I could enjoy the full Team Fortress experience on the XBOX. I don't have a laptop capable of running it.
Makes me sad :-(

I'm guessing you never played TF2? FPS are fun because they bring teamwork and competitiveness when played online. They force you to work with strangers towards a common goal. I'm sorry if that sounds boring to you. I guess it's more fun to go grinding away for hours against mindless AI opponents in your typical RPG fashion.
TF2 is a unique FPS that ranks among the best, while at the same time managing to not take itself too seriously. The characters add personality to the game.

Also to add to my comment, would you rather have all the characters look the same with slight differences, or would you rather be able to tell each one apart without even thinking about it? When each character is yelling on the battlefield, either cheers or cries for help, you know exactly what character it is and what's going on. For example, "Ahh I'm burning!!!" or "A spy's sappin' my dispenser" or the laughs the characters make when they are on a kill streak.

Well, I don't really read comics associated with any game lore either. But a lot of games have comics to further the story. TF2 comics aren't really meant to be engaging, they're kinda like teasing future updates. Like the Australianium
