Football Manager 2011 is a DIFFERENT game, developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. You're talking about FIFA Manager 11, which is a separate and much shittier game.

Maybe EA's exclusivity in Germany confused them (Football Manager is not available there, only FIFA Manager / Fussball Manager) , or just ignorance.

@(Unverified) It's essentially FIFA's manager mode, minus the football...

I don't know how this game sells anywhere. It's obviously profitable, but I just don't know what the appeal of it is, or who the market is.

@E30 Kid

I guess it appeals to everyone who has ever said "If _I_ was managing our football team I would have done x instead of y, and we seriously would have had a shot at winning"

For the record I haven't done it with football, but I have said similar things in the past while watching wrestling, hence why I purchase the Total Extreme Wrestling text-based sim (and wish that one day it will have even 10% of the amount of design polish these football manager sims have).

@E30 Kid

FIFA Manager appeals to people who kind of want to manage a football team / enjoy the tactical side, and want to buy virtual houses with their money. Football Manager appeals to people who want the management side in depth and don't want to buy virtual bling

@E30 Kid Agreed. It seems like a waste of money. I would rather play Fifa, and that's saying something.

I hate to be that guy, but it's actually fußball, where the ß represents the double-s.

What's the deal with the contest to get the most points and the chance to win 7.2m? That seems a little unbalanced.
