So you can just go in to party chat to avoid those commercials, eh?

@Acosta02

Most people use Vent anyway. Their VoiP system give a lot of static feedback. That said I have not even heard any commercials...

Yeah, keep this off my PS3 and Xbox 360, please!!

@DeeZeee There have been a few reviews, all in the 55-70% range. Reviewers are not being gentle.

MMOs always get the most extensive reviews. Most take at least a week or so. It's insane really, the only highly rated MMO I've ever seen is WOW. There's probably a few others, but most (Aion, Star Trek) end up in the 60-70% range. :O

I give the game personally a 6.5/10

It has a lot of potential. But the game is totally dependent on customization. There is very little progression and the gunplay is not enough to keep people satisfied once they have all the crap they want unlocked.

@DeeZeee

I read a review linked from Metacritic last week. The reviewer mentioned that RTW had managed to negotiate a way to hold back reviews till one week after release.

The reason provided was that the game was very dependant on user generated content and early reviews would be unfair. The reviewer commented that if we were slightly cynical it was delayed so that RTW could have one week of sales.

It's getting 50% reviews mostly and it's metacritic rating is boosted by one german 87% review which is completely unjustified. Having been a beta tester I'd agree it's in the 50% range and best avoided.

It wont make console. We all know it. Why RTW persist on talking about it when it's about to die on it's ass is beyond me.

Also, when it's all said and done, I think this game will be remembered in the same light as the PSP Go... A failed experiment!

I do wanna try APB out. Looks cool. Sux if isn't available on 360 eventually. I hope I at least able to play 1 MMO on console this year. That would be DC Universe Online.

I would really like for this game to come to consoles sometime, my computer isn't powerful and I wont have the resources to upgrade to a better one for a very long time, so it would be nice to have an MMO I could pop into my console of choice. (( I am aware there are some console MMOs floating about and in the works, but none that interest me in the slightest))

It seems like 360 is abandoning a lot of MMO's. First Huxley, then FF XIV, now this.

This is great news actually. MMOs require full time development even post release. I'm glad to see they're not putting anything on hold in order to shovel it to platforms that aren't particularly known to embrace these sorts of games.

Personally, "Console APB *demand* still in question" is my take-away.

@ch3burashka APB demand is in question period.

Actually let's not beat around the bush. This game is gonna fail hard on PC.

I would have liked to have seen this appear on a console. If not, their loss. I'd seriously consider the game if it were to appear on a console. PC gaming, I just can't get into anymore.

The trick is, if they don't focus 100% of their efforts on making the PC version remotely successful, then the console version wouldn't be worth playing anyway. I'll say this much about APB, both the combat and driving controls felt like a console game to start with, in the sense that you'd need an analog joypad instead of a mouse+keyboard. Nothing worse than a PC title developed without PC controls in mind.

The only reason this would be difficult to port to consoles is they would need to fix the horrible performance issues that plague mid-low range machines, since at this point even most Low end machines overpower a 360.
It's not like this is an MMO, this is a similar scenario to Guild Wars, Phantasy Star or Monster Hunter, where you have a big social lobby of avatars to try and trick you into thinking it's an mmo, but then the actual gameplay is either solo or with a low player count in an instance. Also, almost everything about the game is terrible, except the creation stuff which is all really cool.

Eh, from what I've heard we won't be missing much. It's too bad, I hoped this would be good, but if it doesn't come to my 360 now I won't be too disappointed.
