3DS!

I think 2D games with some sorth of depth would be great. I hope the extra processing power of the 3DS doesn't mean that we are not going to get as many 2D sprite based games as with the DS.

@FernandoRocker

I would really like an iPad version as well. Not sure what the reasoning would be to not release it on both the 3DS and iPad as they are perfect platforms for this type of game.

2D games with depth IS great dude! Say what you will about the Virtual Boy, but Wario Land was an awesome game, and jumping into the background was one of the coolest features ever.

@Johnnynumber5

3DS would be great, no doubt, but I wouldn't call the iPad "perfect" for this type of game. I guess it would somewhat depend on how demanding the game is, but I think using a virtual d-pad and buttons would slightly hinder a game like this... especially if it's tough as nails like the original Rayman.

I'm not a fan of episodic content. I'll wait until they are all bundled together on sale and buy that because I have to play this game. It looks absolutely gorgeous.

I wish they would release this on the PSP.

Looks like a good 'on the go' game.

Rayman Origins still bothers me so much from the design decisions they've shown from the trailer. No throwing of the fists, platforming looks to be quite loose (1:00 during the trailer), and a return to the horrid humor that's plagued the series since Rayman 3. The fact that they've actually been able to make Rayman as stupid as Globox has become is no easy feat, and I have to applaud them for that. I've been looking for a true sequel to the first Rayman for years, and it just seems like instead of taking inspiration from that they decided Rayman 3 would be a better game to take as a reference point for this title.

The fact that only five people are working on this game while around forty work on the new Rabbids game speaks to me in how much Ubisoft actually cares about bringing back Rayman to his glory days. This game just screams tech demo designed to show off Ubisoft's new Ubiart tools, and that just makes me sad on the inside and outside.

@Ninjasoup

i don´t see why the amount of people means anything in the development of a game, most of the greatest games ever created were made by a small group, they said that a small team was used to create the game because they wanted to have a better control of the proyect. and as i said many great titles were created by nothing more that 5 or 10 guys, games like: lemmings (10 guys), worms (one guy), populous, theme park, out of this world ( one guy), prince of persia (one guy) and even newer like: world of goo(2 guys), and 80% of the indy titles that are available today are created by a small team, even the glory days of rayman that you mention were days when the teams were very, very small, why to use a team of 20,000 if they can do the same with 20 guys??

@(Unverified)

I had a feeling someone was going to focus on the team number part of my post. I'm well aware there are some great games made by very few people (Dwarf Fortress and World of Goo being excellent examples). It's less about quality of the game and more about how this shows how much Ubisoft values this game comapred to something like the Rabbids game. The low staff on board tells me that this is nothing more than a game made to show off the new tools that Ubisoft will be releasing down the road.
