Guess I need to go to Gamestop and cancel my current pre-order, and re-pre-order, just to ensure I get my bonuses. I knew it when I made the pre-order a while back there would be something, but at the time nothing was posted. And I have to have at least 2 copies of the game, so I can do multiplayer with my sons. I'll probably end up with 6 or 7 pre-orders when it's all said and done, then just figure out which pre-orders to return and which ones to keep...

I don't see how they are getting shafted at all. People who buy a new game without pre-ordering were never denied the opportunity to do so. Pre-order bonuses are just bonuses. The only time it sucks is when there are multiple store options, but even then we all know that it will be available as DLC. It's always complained about but its not a big deal at all.

While retailer exclusive pre-order bonuses are pretty annoying, I don't think this is one of them. Amazon has the same helmet (if not chest piece) also available if you pre-order. I think this will be like the Sgt. Johnson DLC, where it will be available everywhere. I think that's how Bungie rolls, as they like to make sure all their fans can get in on the action. I like this much better than the GameStop-only stuff, because I won't shop there.

Wasn't there some Bungie employee bitching about used game sales? Nice job supporting the biggest crooks in the industry.

Looks like I'll be buying Halo: Reach used.

@M and M

Oh, and buying used doesn't mean buying from Gamestop either.

Wait... so GS is following suit and giving $20 credit for pre-order? Sly bastards.
