This looks well fresh. It's exactly what facebook games need to be, IMO, none of that friend monetizing tosh.

@Dance Love Pop

I agree. A great idea that suits its format well. I doubt the game will track your daily goals as well as you'd hope too, but some people need just flimsy excuse to get things done like an organizer or a game; so it'l probably do a lot of good.

"By completing tasks in the real world, you gain experience points in the game that you can then use to level up your character."

Nice! All the sudden I need an iPhone. Does anyone know if you input your own personal to-do list, or if the tasks are pre-fab?

They should make this an android app rather than / in addition to an iPhone app.

There are more Android phones out there, really surprised these days whenever companies release the iPhone version first.

@geolemon Developers release their games/apps on the iPhone because they want to earn money, not geek cred.

@SpacePenguinBot
Robo Defense, a $2.99 game, has over 250,000 downloads (the highest number of downloads Android shows publicly is ">250,000 downloads") on the Android market. I think there is a huge untapped games market for Android. There are more Android phones out there than iPhones and I'm sure a lot of people would like to play a game or two from time to time.

I imagine you just click on the chore and press Completed once you've done it. Seems like it would be the easiest game to cheat, haha.

Nerdy? Pointing that out on a video game blog is like knowing who Michael Jordan is on a sports blog. ...maybe you're just really young.

wait... what... i don't know if people are being sarcastic or not. are people actually considering getting a phone for this app/game?

hell, just write it down on paper, tell yourself you got 500 xp from completing a task, and grab a cookie.

You can say the same thing about day planners and other silly gizmos. Like I said, some people need some sort of structure or system to motivate them to get things done.

If you've ever worked in a corporate environment, you'd be shocked at the amount of meetings and discussions before anything gets done. Consider yourself lucky that you have the willpower to just get up and go without any push, because there are a lot of people that don't.

I agree. It has a great idea, but the name is tired, unfunny, and way overused. They might as well have thrown in a "lulz" and maybe an "i can haz?"

Agreed. Epic used to mean epic. Now it means at or slightly above average.

We don't have quests yet, but we should within the next week.

That video is hot though, really explains the motivation. I've had difficulty conveying that as I'm trying to do more than just a todo list.

In hindsight, that sounded like a subtle attempt at dissing Epic Win, so let me follow that up by saying that this trailed is made of Epic Win and is ABOUT Epic Win, so it therefore has (Epic Win)^2, thrusting it into levels of epicness heretofore only imagined. The app itself looks incredibly slick and appears to put a clever and fun UI (as well as a good variety of reward options) over the basic concept. :)

If this was on Android I would buy it. I have an android because it's five times cheaper than owning an iPhone. So many apps I want but can't buy!
