Michael Jackson game subtitled 'The Experience,' coming November

Following its bare-bones announcement at Ubisoft's E3 press conference, "Michael Jackson: The Game" has been dubbed ~~Just Michael Jackson~~ Michael Jackson: The Experience. The Experience will place players in the shiny shoes of Jackson himself, reliving some of his most iconic performances using the Wii, PlayStation Move or Xbox 360's Kinect motion tech to dance along with an on-screen prompt. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will also include an option to sing along, using Kinect's built-in mic or a standalone microphone. Additionally, DS and PSP versions of the game will feature Ouendan-esque rhythm-tapping gameplay.

According to Eurogamer, The Experience is due out in November, which should give us enough time to figure out the meaning of the name. Is it because we're getting the full Michael Jackson "experience?" Or, is it possible that the game includes an experience-based character progression system? If so, we're putting all our points in the Toe Stand specialization tree.

but i wanna add. i'l never know if he did what some accused him for . i don't care for Michael Jackson but i will say this. my previous comment wasn't a shot at Michael i just said it cause i know someone else " Might " have and i dunoo what to believe nor was i following his trial when it was going on so i'm not for or against him as i really didn't show interest.

those who do buy the game i hope you enjoy it. just really isn't my type of Game.

If the parent(s) settled for money over getting him sent to jail that definitely would be enough with all the other shiza they kept spewing.

There's no way a caring parent would sue someone who raped there son and choose money over having him put in jail.

That's because people are damn hypocrites. They feel the need to publicly degrade someone until they die, then when they die they act like they have been a fan and supporter since the beginning. It's all about the trends of conformity, if someone else is doing it, they join.

For the record, I haven't bought anything by Michael Jackson since his death, yet I still listen to what I've bought before then. He was a great musician, and that's the opinion I've always had of him. If anyone talks about his possible exploits with kids, I say (1) he was acquitted on all counts in a court of law, and (2) it doesn't retroactively make his music any worse, at least for me. I have seen what you're referring to though, and yes, it's annoying when people act hypocritically; however, I'm just saying that not everyone who claims to enjoy his music now were the kind of people making rude jokes.

I already have the Michael Jackson experience. All that's required is opening up my media player, clicking Michael Jackson's name and pressing play.

In fact, I can even dance to the music without even buying the game. Amazing!

Our legal system isn't perfect. OJ was found innocent. Fact of the matter you probably wouldn't have let MJ babysit your children alone.

His music may be the same, but your opinion of it can change after learning things about people. IE, Goodbye Horses is the same as it's always been. After watching Silence of the Lambs, no one I know listens to it merrily. Songs have feelings and thoughts associated with them. People start to associate "Billy Jean" as being sung by an accused child molester, it kind of loses it's appeal. So technically it's the same song, same beats, same lyrics, but a different source. Kind of like not buying a certain brand once you learn some business practice (IE not buying Jif because a different branch of the company injects dogs with chemicals for testing). Same PB, but things are different then.

It's obvious this is going to be a dud, but I wonder if the cult of Michael Jackson will be enough for this to sell well.

Artist-specific music games are a dead end, I think. I barely consider Beatles Rock Band a worthwhile purchase, and I'm a rabid Beatles fan.

What's with the media blackout on Dance Masters? That game looks 10x better than all of these other dance games, yet you hear nothing about it.

I guess any game involving Michael Jackson is news and deserves attention for its pedigree, but I'm a little surprised at the lack of love fora game from the team that brought you DDR.

Actually, in at least some cases, wasn't the story that parents did willfully drop the children off at his place, only to later say, "Hey, maybe I messed up-slash-could get some money out of a lawsuit because of how suspicious what I just allowed to happen sounds."

It's hard for me to listen to Kanye West and Diddy because of how huge their egos are, yet people saying "JACKO IS A FREAK" somehow never stopped me from singing along to "Beat It" or what not.

Overall, I'm not the kind of person to say he's infallible; however, I'm also not the kind of person to go out of my way to call him a freak and question why there are still people around who don't think he's a freak.

I can't wait to dangle my baby over a balcony in this game. I bet it's a 50 point achievement.

Should have done Michael Jackson Rockband! I doubt this game will rule. And also for the Rockband game they should take a note from Guitar Hero and let us play more non-guitar instruments with our guitar like pianos and violins or whatever. I love that about GH over RB.

@SolidSnakeEyes I'd actually would've liked that better too. So I guess I'll be getting the PSP version, because dancing like MJ is beyond my ability.
