Rumorong: Test Drive Unlimited servers not going offline next year
8
Reports have been floating around the 'net that Atari would be shutting off the servers for the first Test Drive: Unlimited game as early as January of 2011, presumably to make way for the open world racing game's sequel. But Atari tells Joystiq that the rumors are blatantly untrue -- "they are not dropping the servers at all," a representative told us this afternoon. The rep said that it's possible that French developer Eden Games may be moving the servers in some way, but anything like that would make no difference for players of the game at all.
So keep on driving, Test Drivers -- your virtual O'ahu isn't going anywhere.

Atari knows of this really cool place in Mexico, where you can just dump whatever you want...

I think I might get TDU2, hopefully it is as good as I hope it is and isn't a nasty surprise. The loyal fans are a good indicator that it'll be great, but fans have lead me astray in the past... so has reviews... maybe everything will be okay if they release a demo.. they did with the first one... losing concentration... typing continues to trail off... is this the end... and start of the beginning... who knows... will i get downranked... or will i be loved... only time will tell... right now im being obnoxious... i can tell...
This game looks sweet. Nice environments, cars, (hopefully a decal editor), multiplayer like an mmo without the separate subscription and elves.
