Kmart discounts Alan Wake, Peace Walker and more

Though both parties haven't likely realized it yet, Kmart is currently embroiled in a full-on assault against your wallet. The store's offering a slew of discounts on games like Alan Wake, Peace Walker, Singularity and the Call of Duty: War Collection, as well as a few other miscellaneous SKUs.

I wish I had more... you know... money? Really want to pick up a copy of Alan Wake.

Keep dropping Wake... waiting for a good $20 price tag, MS you want way too much for the DLC.

Same here. I got half way through Wake on a $3 rental. The presentation and storyline are amazing, but the gameplay is repetitive. At $20 I could enjoy it and still afford the DLC.

@Usr666 Eh, it's only 7 bucks each and you get one free if you buy the game new. Love the game, especially the story, so I'll get them just to support the company.

Alan Wake is selling for $34 used on Amazon, if you sell it back its practically free.

Rats, just bought Alan Wake for $45 not too long ago; haven't even put it in my Xbox yet. Oh, well...

Im going to buy MGS:PW. I just beat it, with a gamefly rental. but it was such a good game. Definitely the best PSP game I have ever played. this game isnt/didnt get enough hype unless I missed it. takes a little bit of time to get use to the controls but after that its perfect.

If you have not played Alan Wake yet here is your chance. I highly recommend it. Definitely of my favorite experiences of the year. Right up there with God of War III and Mass Effect 2. Its a Gamers game.

I rented Singularity from Gamefly. I cant say its not worth playing but I will say Im glad I did not buy it. It could not hold my interest and I sent it back to Gamefly the next day.

@HaVoK308 Sorry but to put Alan Wake up with Mass Effect 2 and GOW3 is crap. The game is good, but is out of its league compared with your examples.

Up until last night, I was enjoying AW as merely a good game with an interesting story. Then, I got to the part with the "Old Gods of Asgard" rock stage, and the following hour convinced me that there was something really fresh about this game that gave me hope for the future of video games.
(SPOILER) Switching to first person to watch the character you were pretending to be playing was (imho) more of a self-aware immersive technique than the "big reveal" in Bioshock. And (speaking of...) the ensuing cut-scene with the diversuit-guy? W. T. F. ??? Blowing my mind.
I actually became aware in the midst of it, that I was playing the most engaging hour of video gaming from any recent memory!

Thank you! Too many people telling others what games they should like. We can figure it out for ourselves. Just because some sites put different numbers on different games doesn't mean that the experience with games of a "lower number" should mean any less to the gamer. Forget about how the critic rates the game, or how much the other guy liked it. Everyone has their own experience. So... thanks....

@itsjose These are in store deals. If you go and the price tag doesn't reflect the sale, it will ring up correctly at the register.

I've gotten a few games super cheap over the last few months because of awesome deals at KMart. A couple of the times the prices have been displayed on the shelf correctly, but there was also a time or two they were.

And darn Kmart! My wallet doesn't need to keep taking a beating. >_< I just picked up Dantes Inferno on Friday before the sale ended for that one.

@Faenix Unlikely unless you find an exceptionally inept clerk. Kmart in Canada was merged with Zellers, so no store will treat it as a Canadian price match, since it's already in U.S. dollars, eh?

@Faenix And I think paying an extra $15 for Alan Wake is more than an equitable trade for having free health care. ;)

Picked up Singularity and Peacewalker today. Both were a steal at those prices. 45 bucks in savings!

Go to gamestop: 3 gallons of gas. buy it used: $54.99. finish it within a week: 10-20 hours. return it: Priceless.

Not that I would do it. I enjoy owning my games too much.

well, too bad I already bought Peace Walker..........
