Possible Arkham Asylum sequel names dropped in domain registrations

It appears Warner Bros. went on a little domain-shopping spree for its Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel. Domain digger Superannuation has unearthed over a dozen new registrations by the publisher that reference the Dark Knight or events in the first Arkham Asylum game.

Several of the domain names suggest a range of possible "Arkham" titles for the sequel, including: Arkham City, New Arkham, Rise of Arkham and City of Arkham. There's also one domain that references Warden Sharp and his run for mayor. We've listed all the new domain names after the break.

All of those domain names sound to me a lot like we could be treated to some viral action surrounding this game, which I welcome considering how awesome The Dark Knight viral campaign was!

I maintain, and have always maintained that they should subtitle it "Gotham Asylum".

IMO, "City of Arkham" would be an amazing subtitle to the sequel.

Didn't even realise it was called Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Completely missed the ":" lol and I even got platinum on it, bad times.

It will go down something like this

Batman: Arkham Asylum Returns (which will be weird and not totally as awesome as the first)
Batman: Arkham Asylum Forever (total meh-fest)
Batman: Arkham Asylum & Robin (fans everywhere will look at the Batman video game franchise in disgust once again.)

But not to worry! It will all be rebooted with Batman: Arkham Asylum Begins in 2023.

I like Rise of Arkham the best. Regardless of what the name is, I can't wait for this game.

Dude, I super deduper enjoyed the 1st game. I can't wait for the sequel! But anyways, alot of cool sounding names for the game! Ashes Of Gotham or New Arkham sounds great.
*Fun Fact* Arkham Asylum is one of the very few games that I could not put down when I started, super rare for me nowadays, especially how busy life is. Day 1 purchase for sure!

What is the statute of limitations on claiming "Spoiler Alert"? I mean, anybody who cares would have finished this game last year, amirite?
Anyhow, I got the platinum trophy, but completely forgot the Spirit of Arkham storyline. Did it have something to do with the guy being a bit crazy himself, killing patients who couldn't be cured?
Anyhow, "Batman Grand Delusion", sounds like we'll be getting more mind-warping Scarecrow-like levels. Maybe on a grander scale, as in the whole city is freaking out? Like the end of Batman Begins?
Oh, sorry if that ruins the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it yet... ;/

@Drew Daddi Yeah, I think so too. New Arkham is my favorite out of those, given what is expected to happen from what little we've seen.

Batman: Ashes of Gotham sounds insanely awesome. State of Villainy sounds pretty good too, especially since there's supposed to be alot of villains overtaking Gotham.

I don't care what you call it, JUT GIVE IT TO ME ALREADY!!!!!!

I think it should be Arkham Again or something like that.

I hope we get to be in the city this time. "Ashes of Gotham" sound great tho.

Don't know if it's a good idea or not, but I hope there will be co-op (Batman and Robin) in the sequel.

Also open-world and being able grapple hook anywhere is also something I would like to see!

Seemed like there was a web site mentioned in the first game on one of the TV monitors, or over the PA. So some of these are probably like that.

Arkham Asylum II: Darker Knight

Broken Ground makes me hopeful that the game will be Batman:No Man's Land based.

Which makes me additionally hopeful that Cassandra Cain will show up.
