That awesome Big Boss looking Street Fighter avatar was enough to make this update the best I've seen in a long time.

Funny enough, I was going to break-down and buy those MAG Dynamic Themes a while ago. Really glad I didn't, because now I've got them for free. And I'm really glad to see they waited until I Gamefly'd Blur before they put a demo up. Great game though.

You pay $50 so you can get a $5 discount only once, and then your PS+ subscription ends.

It's not like it lasts for 12 months or anything.

agreed. we basically subscribed to themes and avatars, wipeout, for better or worse and discounts. what a joke. i though it was a bad idea to start with the three month sub, now it might be a blessing in disguise.

no it's a sign of things to come. avatars and themes? it has less to do with the dollar amount and more to do with what they are doing with it. it started fairly solid. and i hope it picks up. but for a "premium subscription" it's lacking.

ok fair enough, i knew someone would bring up qore, minis, classics. yea it's not terrible but it might be a bad long term buy if runs this path. i hope it's not a marketing ploy to up sell weak titles.

@JZN With the PS3, your chat and party mechanics are really limited to whatever the game developer wants, so for social aspects, the Xbox blows it away.

From an interface standpoint, however, I think the PS3 is much more elegant, easier to use, and worlds faster. It is also much easier to find content on the store.

If you are interested in the exclusives, and are okay with playing multiplatform titles on your 360 because of a better online implementation, you can't go wrong with a PS3. I don't do much online gaming, so I like my PS3 much more than my 360.

I don't personally own a ps3 yet but I am on the verge of buying one, can anybody tell me if it is as user friendly as the xbox 360 for example pretty much no lag when playing at normal times and where you can just party chat by pressing 2 or 3 buttons and does playstation+ effect this.

Probably not the best place to ask this Thorz, but no, there's no cross game chat. There is a chat/video chat program, but you can't be in a game while doing it. There were rumors cross game chat would come with Playstation Plus, but it has yet to surface.

@Thorz When talking about lag and what not it all depends on your connection, if your internet connection sucks you'll probably lag here and there no big deal but tbh it depends on the game your playing as KZ2 or uncharted 2 there is nothing called lag in there, i play MW2 on PS3 everyday, it rarely lags unless i join a bad host which dosent happen that often to be honest. PS3 dosent have a party chat or a corss game chat yet but it does have a room chat and is easy to use yes, 1 or 2 clicks you'll be able to add your friends with text chat, voice chat or even video chat in that room. again cross chat is not out yet for PS3 butr expect it coming soon.
getting a PS3 is the best choice this gen, you'll never regret it :)

Played a few minutes of DeathSpank and I'm enjoying it. It reminds me of Fable 2 (combat and humor). For me, that's a good thing.

So....pretty light there. Deathspank is really the stand out. And $5 off of Myst....really? $15 instead of $20? The game should be $10 on sale for $5 - it's 15 years old for God's sakes. Although I know, it's relatively new to the PSP....yawn.

Let's not forget the "Lost" Driveshaft track!!

@AlvinRod an IGN podcast (podcast beyond) made it sound like at the end of each month all of PS+ will be refreshed, so if there is something you want, get it asap. An example is I don't think a PS+ member who has been there since day 1 will be able to download wipeout HD for free if they didn't do it by August.

Anybody able to shed some light on Gravity Crash? I just got Super Stardust HD after the PS+ sale last week, and I'm definitely interested in more PSN games now seeing as how SSHD is really good.

I have both Shatter and Gravity Crash and like them both. Gravity Crash requires much patience and precision, though, so it's not everyone's cup of tea. Maze-like passages with gravity often come with tears.

Incidentally, both games have great electronic soundtracks.
