Past the break, you'll find a video of Stephen Curry, Brandon Jennings and cover star Kevin Durant sharing their feelings on the game. Overall, they seem to agree that the new control scheme feels natural. Oh, and just because it's an EA-created video, we don't think you should write off its content: Curry's tale of failed three-point shots speaks volumes about the new skill-based shooting.
NBA Elite 11 video passes along NBA players' thoughts

EA has a lot riding on NBA Elite 11, the reboot of its once-great-but-gone-stale NBA Live series. Using its brand-new control scheme primarily utilizing the analog sticks, our time with the game was a breathe of fresh air -- and it would seem a few NBA players agree.

They brought out the young guns. I really hope the graphics and gameplay improve.
Things would be perfect if they are serious about this new control and can implement that with the graphics/presentation of NBA Live 10.

Might take a bit more look into this. Hopefully it delivers.

I see this and thank the heavens games like NBA Jam are making a comeback.
Way too much thinking about controls and not enough sitting down and having fun when it comes to these sports simulations the past 5-6 years.

Seriously dude. Some of us like simulations (Madde, Live, Fifa, Undisputed, The Show, GT, NFS:S etc) and want to have as realistic an experience as possible. If the games to difficult and you want casual arcade fun then go and play NBA Jam. It's not like both types of games can't co-exist at the same time.
TL;DR - Some of us don't want a dumbed down version but an accurate representation.

I know it's a work in progress, but did anyone notice the net going up right before the shot went in? I used to play nothing but Live, then 2K really took over. I am all for competition among franchises, especially sports, cough Madden cough, so here's hoping Elite puts the pressure back on the folks at 2K.

I used to be all about 2K but Live blew it out of the water last year. The problem with 2K is the players move like robots or something ... not even like real people. The pacing / speed in 2K is also to slow for my liking. Unless they do a complete reboot I can't go back ... especially after playing Live with the new dynamic dna.

I pretty darn curious now. I'm assuming there will be a demo, looking forward to that. I used to play NBA games every year but haven't been too excited recently.
I like the chill nature of this video. It wasn't all in your face and flashy. It was just players talking about the game and their game.

*Raises an eyebrow*
Considering I haven't really played sports games on the consoles since the original Super Temco Bowl, this has perked my interest.

Game still looks like crap. The player models always seems to have their knees bent even when standing up straight. They just look stiff to me. EA does a good job on faces compared to 2K but the animations on 2K blow EA away. I only buy form the greatest and Jordan is on 2k you cant get any greater than that.

Still looks like shit but I hope it plays well, intrigued by this control setup, wanna try it out.

The game engine doesn't look as smooth as 2k10....heck even 2k8 (which actually is probably the best and most revolutionary of the 2k series). I do like that the game takes more skill, but I like how 2k has simple enough controls to play, but enough of an advanced system that you can out maneuver weaker players.

Graphics and animations look HORRIBLE. The netting is hilariously bad.
