@BlackedOut You browsed to Joystiq.com, clicked on the story link, scrolled down to comments box, carefully typed your initial response, submitted it, then proceeded to type an additional response referencing the first one.

@Cypher FDP What's wrong with not wanting to see smug, meme responses on Joystiq?

This reminds me of a puzzle....

Surely gamers will remember this day as one of rejoicing, but in France, July 14th is the national holiday of Bastille Day. In keeping with the time travel theme, I wondered what things would be like eleven years from today, so I fired up the ol' Epoch and took off for Paris. Upon landing in the exclusive flying-car-only lot a few miles away from the Arc de Triomphe, I saw that the festivities for Le Fete Nationale were in full swing. I grabbed a newspaper, but I was a little disappointed that the reason for my trip was somewhat not in evidence on the front page.

What was I looking for in the newspaper, and why didn't I find it?

Hint 1: Eleven years is awfully specific, isn't it?

Hint 2: If you travel through time, what would you look at a newspaper for first?

Hint 3: If I had gone to New Orleans' Bastille Day celebration, I would have found exactly what I was looking for!

@John Z

You were looking for the date on the newspaper, specifically a date of July 14th, 2021. You didn't find it because... well, I'm stumped.

@Paviel Eh.... close enough. *awards picarats*

I was indeed looking for the date to read July 14th, 2021. However, that's only an interesting date in countries that use the MM/DD/YY notation, such as the United States. In those countries, the date reads

07/14/21

which are the first three multiples of seven. In Europe, the notation is DD/MM/YY, so it would appear as

14/07/21

which is still the first three multiples, but not in order.

I'm in the same boat. I bought the second one last year when there was a buy 2 get 3 promo on amazon. I got pokemon platinum, 2nd layton and Bowser's Inside Story and I haven't even opened any of those... I'm currently playing the world ends with you which I bought a year ago and just recently opened 2 weeks ago... Man, I need more free time...

You used "originally set to be released" and not "originally releasing?"

J.C. Fletcher, you are now my favorite Joystiq person. XOXO and all that silly crap.

I love these games, and am glad about the game coming out earlier for once. Two bad we're still like 6 games behind.
