I blame the pirates, all of those games were amazing, these guys should just stop developing for the PSP, it's a terrible device, and it's incredibly easy to pirate games on it.

@BrianH The PSP is far from terrible! When I think of terrible handhelds the N-Gage comes to mind...

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze Exactly, I really like my PSP and can't wait for Ghost of Sparta to come out. I'm not a huge handheld player, but I like what I can do with my PSP and I can't wait to see how the 3DS works.

@BrianH

I wouldn't say it's a terrible device, but I do agree that the piracy situation is very bad. The same goes for the DS and even the iPhone. It seems that people don't think it's really worth it to pay for a handheld game, probably because most of them can't provide that same experience that you would get on a full fledged home console (although many come quite close).

Lets just hope that the 3DS and inevitable PSP successor can really help fight against the pirates, although I don't remain hopeful.

@BrianH

I've owned a PSP since launch.

maybe i should take that back, because it isn't terrible, but it is way too easy to pirate on that device, and good developers shouldn't have to suffer because people feel entitled to get good games for free.

@TechNick

Nah, it's not cause they don't have a console-like experience. It's cause their accounts can't get banned or suspended like the 360...

Well, why don't they just offer themselves to be bought out by Sony? Sony seems pretty nice to their first party developers...

@edge426
When I hear "sucks" and "job" in a sentence, only one thing comes to mind (or something a little lower).

I feel bad for them. They've done such amazing things with the PSP that sill shine, even today. I hope that Sony does scoop them up as DeeZee had said.

I guess the unlucky 13 had best be ready at dawn to join the queue at the job centre.

It's an unfortunate side effect of game development - you're basically only employed as long as they have a game for you to make.

working on titles including Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus. Only four members of the team that worked on the latter remain, we're told.

Oddly im now sorta worried about the New GoW title. :/

thankfully, Sony wont let such a title as GoW get messed up. But still.
