A select few are able to partake in Hulu Plus on the PS3 right now, thanks to an introductory preview program, and we thought we'd capture some footage, just for you, the dedicated gamer and television viewer. Beyond the break, you'll find a lengthy video walkthrough documenting all of the features found in this impressive content delivery platform -- however, if you feel the sheer awesomeness of high-speed HD video may be a bit too much for your puny little eyes to handle, enjoy the stills in our gallery below. PC users are so f***ing arrogant and smug... i wish i could punch a PC user everytime he brings his stupid computer into a CONSOLE argument. I don't give a f about your storage capacity, how cheap your games are, how better the resolution is, how free the online is or what mods you made. This past year i have played games that have been soooooo awesome and not available on a PC. so go suck it.

@anubusnyc I love the look and feel which is much better than Netflix, but this sucks that we are not even aloud to use the free portion of Hulu. F*** you Hulu, I was able to use the site with no problem before and now I can't use it at all not even the free portion with out forking over $10 a month.

@BrianH You only need PS+ for the preview period, so once that's, over, anyone can access Hulu plus.
That said, I will not be subscribing to Hulu plus, because.. I'm not a big fan of Network television, and otherwise they just don't have much stuff that I'm into.

@TheMichaelJackson Most people pay money to subscribe to cable television ... which has ads. You pay for magazines (well, SOME of you do) and those have ads.
I'm sorry, I just don't grok this argument at all.

@ChuckBartowski But the DVR is also a paid service. Most people pay MORE for a DVR per month than Hulu Plus costs. Tivo is like $12/month. Cable company DVR is usually $10.

That's true that cable has ads and I don't mind that it does, but I don't want to be interrupted 5 or 6 times while watching an episode to see the same 30 second ad over and over again. I find TV ads more enjoyable than internet ads as do a lot of people (maybe because we're used to it) and they're good for bathroom or smoke breaks, but I don't see why Hulu has to have ads on this service if they're getting $10 a month from subscribers. Netflix doesn't have ads, so Hulu shouldn't. And you can skip magazine ads by simply turning the page.

With cable you can watch news, sports, and live shows which Hulu doesn't offer. I may be wrong, but I think you have to wait about a week for new TV shows to get on Hulu. I have nothing against Hulu, I love the service and all the shows it offers, but I refuse to pay $10 when I can just connect my computer to my TV to watch Hulu for free.

@BrianH You can build a DVR using free parts that don't cost anything? Impressive!
@TheMichaelJackson You realize that an episode of television on Hulu has far less ads than that same episode on broadcast or cable television, right?
Personally, I will absolutely pay $10/month to spare myself the hassle of hooking up my computer to my television when I want to watch a show. Po-tay-toe, po-tah-toe I suppose.

i just have to take a minute to laugh at the people who say they're not paying $10 a moth for ads... most people pay $30-$60 a month for 3x as many ads with cable or satellite. people need think before writing this stuff.
also, hulu plus is not for me. i'll stick to having no tv as i'm a movie buff anyway. cheers!

sigh, no reason for the rudeness, seriously.
Of course i can't make one for free, but it certainly won't come with a monthly fee, it will also have a significantly higher storage capacity.
Also, last i checked, a TiVo device also requires 300-500 dollars, before you start paying for the service.
it also won't play DVDs or blu-ray, and you can't burn your recorded videos onto disk.
so yea, i can make a DVR for the same price as buying TiVo, and my device will do more and it will do it better.

@chrisgrant I agree whole heartedly with you on the 'you pay for cable and it has ads' debate. There's no way to argue against that. But you can't really compare Hulu Plus to my DVR. They may cost the same, but does Hulu Plus have sports, talk shows, or some of the more obscure stupid crap I watch? No. Granted, I know, I pay $70 a month (including the DVR price) but I only pay 10 bucks a month for watch anytime AND commercial skipping privileges. With cable/satellite, I have way more options. $60 more worth of options? That's up to the consumer.

So you don't pay for cable or satellite TV?
$10/month seems pretty steep though considering that is just about how much I pay a month for Netflix with unlimited instant streaming and 1 bluray/dvd out at a time.
Maybe if Hulu didn't blacklist the PS3 before then I would be more sympathetic and consider giving them my business.

I already hav a computer.
Using WMC with that doesn't cost me any more = poof instant DVR.
Hooking up the computer to the TV?
Well, my 360 is a very capable Media Center Extender, gives me the all Live TV, DVR, Internet streaming I want on the TV without having to connect my PC to a TV.
as for the $10/month fees: Neflix is worth it, Hulu is not

At least for me it's a matter of the subscription fee. I already pay for Netflix. I am not going to get rid of Netflix, because I like it better than Hulu. And I certainly won't pay $10/mo. just so I don't have to plug an hdmi cable into my laptop and the TV to watch Hulu on TV.
I'm looking for ways to reduce my monthly bills, not increase them.

Ok, so let me see if I got it...
In order to watch Hulu I must be a plus member? Or can I only pay the 10 bucks fee for it?
I believe you are overreacting about the ads...in the video shows 2 ads of 30 seconds and, as I understand, the rest of the show is ad-free...right??
I like it and I'd buy the service...but I'm pretty sure it will be restricted to my area...

@irotmx You need to be a Hulu Plus member, which is a preview program now and rather limited.
If you have that access, you also need to be a PS+ subscriber, so long as Hulu Plus is still in preview. When it's out of preview and anyone can sign up, so long as they've got $10/month to spare, it will also be free to access on PSN, no PS+ subscription required.
Confusing, I know.

I'm NOT ok with having to pay the $9.99 a month to essentially be a beta tester for Hulu plus. During the preview period it should be free. Also I would gladly trade my ability to watch Hulu plus to get some access to the BBC iPlayer on my Euro PS3 account.

Dear Cable TV,
It pains me to write this, but I fear that our time now is ending. I could write any number of cliches as to why I'm leaving you. I could say that it's not you, it's me......but we both know it's you. I could say that I just want to be friends.....but really, I was only into it because of the Comedy Central. Shallow, I know, but better to admit the truth than continue a lie.
Instead of excuses, I'm going to give you the truth: I've found someone else. They satisfy me in ways you can't. When I'm with them, I feel like the world is at my fingertips, like I can watch anything, anytime, anywhere. I feel like they're what I've been secretly craving all along. And....well....I don't have to put as much into my time with them. My time with you was such a drain......you took so much from me, over $100 a month. With them, it's a lot more casual. I don't have to put in as much, but I get so much more. I hate to say this, but you haven't been keeping up with your appearance. It's not all I care about, but lately it's like you don't even care what you look like. She.......well......she's gorgeous. High definition, everywhere.
I'm not sure what else to say. I'll be returning the cable box when I get a chance. It won't be any time soon though. Hulu (that's her name) and I will be watching House and the Office all weekend, and then after that we have a few movies planned. I'll never forget our time together....but I won't look back, either. I wish you all the best.

@Puertoricarious I dont get how people are comparing this to cable.....its JUST OTA channels as of right now isn't? I can't watch Mythbusters or Deadliest catch or build it bigger or Modern Marvel or Taboo....I dunno about the rest of you guys but I am a well rounded nerd....and if Hulu Plus doesnt give me my daily dose of History HD, TLC HD, The Science Channel HD, NatGeo HD, Discovery HD, HD Theater.....then its no value in it at all when compared to cable....I mean if all you do is watch OTA channels why the hell do you even have cable? I mean in most areas you can get like 15-20 channels OTA....3-5 of which are movie channels....all for FREE

Can you add individual videos to your Queue from the PS3, or do you need to use your web browser for that? I think you said that you could subscribe to full seasons using the PS3 client, but I don't remember you saying anything about adding individual episodes.

I would pay 10$ a month in a SECOND if this came to Canada! I miss having cable and this would be be perfect replacement for that.
One question though, does Hulu play movies? Or is it just tv... That would be armageddon for me if movies are on there (even though the video store JUST came out in Canada like 2 weeks ago :D ).

I tried the preview with the free clips and it was lagging every few seconds during the ad and the first ten seconds of the actual episode. I say ten seconds because I quit after that time and deleted it. I pay less for Netflix and have never seen lag (or ads) like that via my PS3. Once they come out with an XMB app that includes search (so I don't have to go on a computer to queue and then load the app), it'll be perfect.

Mkay, This question may seem a little off track with the current string of rants. But many-many moons ago.. way before Hulu locked us PS3 users from their service. We use to be able watch Hulu thew the PS3s browser. Now a very lucky few of us knew that we could use our PSP's to access our PS3 from coffee shops with decent bandwidth, and watch our favorite TV shows for free in the palm of our hands. I guess what I'm asking is has anyone tried to see if this new service works with the PSP?

So let me get this straight. It's cheaper than cable. It has less ads than cable. And I can watch just about every TV show ever? WHO WOULDN'T WANT THIS!?
Now I'm not the richest person in the world, but this is great! I can watch The A-Team, Knight Rider, just about everything. I don't WANT to watch TV. I do it before I go to bed and when I've got nothing else to do, but there's never anything on. Now, I get to choose what I want to watch, when I want to watch it! And in HD(Where available)!
If Hulu would send my invite, I would have bought this days ago.

Don't know what OTA stands for(Unless it means "off the air"), in which case it's pretty obvious why: Because I now have the option to. TV Land used to run re-runs of The A-Team for a long time, but when I caught on, it ended. Now I have the option to watch the shows I've always heard about but never got a chance to see. Same with modern day shows and episodes. I don't know what the Modern Family is about, but now that I've got Hulu, I can get to know them very well.
