Who pays $60 for a new game? Not you, because you know about deals like the one Amazon has on Raven Software's time-twisting shooter, Singularity. The PlayStation 3 version is currently on sale for $40.
If Amazon isn't really your thing, there's still time to get it even cheaper: $34.99 at Kmart.

@cameltrader The thing about Singularity is that the game takes place on a mysterious island known as "Katorga-12" where Russian experiments involving "E99" took place during the height of the Cold War era. Sometime during 1955, a terrible catastrophe known as the "Singularity" occurred on the island[4], causing the island's very existence to be covered up by the Russian government. The player controls Nate Renko, a Black Ops soldier who is sent to investigate bizarre radiation emissions coming from the island, only to crash land there. After regaining consciousness, Nate finds the TMD (Time Manipulation Device) and discovers that the island is constantly shifting between the time periods of 1955 and 2010. He also encounters Victor Barisov, the scientist in charge of the Katorga-12 experiments who reveals that a man named Nikolai Demichev is on the island to try to restart them on a much larger scale, which could cause an unthinkable disaster. During the quest to stop Demichev, the player will have to deal with hostile Russian forces in both time periods, and the hideously mutated flora, fauna and former residents of the island, some of which have developed time manipulation power of their own.

The game also gives a bad name to the Mathematic and Scientific concepts of Singularity.

OK, honestly, I don't think you belong here.
@cameltrader
It's pretty good. Short, but still good gunplay and great graphics+time machine. It gets a little boring and the ending is kind weird, but still, great game. 40$ is a good price for it.

This game is great. K-Mart has it for $34.99 right now through Saturday. The multiplayer only has 2 modes but the characters and abilities of each one is amazing. It's fun and addictive and very smart. So far, the singleplayer reminds me of Bioshock/Wolfenstein and a little twist of its own kind of thing.

@Tapejara Why don't you try making an order on Amazon.com and see. You can always just cancel before confirming. Do people put in effort at all anymore to try and solve their own dilemmas??

@Tapejara Then don't order the game then. I'd love to see you use the "I'm cool because I'm laid back" attitude in the workplace.

I've heard great things about Singularity, but since it's a shooter I will only play once (and watch the other endings on Youtube if I can't re-load a save) I'll still only rent it. If it was $30, though, I might just do it.
