You may think you're the master disc jockey supreme, what with your basic edition of DJ Hero -- or, as we like to call it, the baby edition for babies -- but it's really high time you upgrade to Renegade. Thanks to a deal on Amazon, you can now do so at the significantly reduced price of $64.90.
Seeing as how this special edition usually retails for $199.99, you probably won't see a lower price than this for quite some time. Look sharp, though: As of right now, the discount's only available on the 360 version of the game.

I need to try this game, but I suck so hard at Rock Band. Will I be bad at this too?
It's not that I'm bad at music games in general, I was good at Amplitude, Frequency and Gitaroo man...

@DrScientist I must second that - I'm a quite competent GH/Rock Band guitarist and I find DJ Hero very difficult. It's also fun and addictive regardless.

I was wondering if you guys owned the game or just have played it at Fry's. When I first played DJ Hero, it was quite difficult, but after owning it for about 6 months and working my way up the difficulty ladder, I'm fairly good now.
It seems just about the same learning curve that I had on Guitar Hero 2 (my first music peripheral game).

If you haven't gotten this yet and even remotely like rhythm games, this is a fantastic deal.

since they're not changing the controller for DJ Hero 2, this is an awesome deal. you get a turntable with a built in stand. I feel for early adopters that spent $200.

I still had my $20 credit from Super Mario Galaxy 2, so I ended up paying $45 out of pocket. I don't feel bad about giving Activision money for a Hero game if it's a quarter of what they were originally asking.

I'm definitely going to have to pick this up, the price was the only thing holding me back. The soundtrack is amazing, anything with DJ Shadow is a buy in my book... Wish I would have gotten it earlier but I'm not big on peripherals. Last rhythm game I bought was the first Rock Band and I hardly ever played it.

Fortunately, this peripheral is easy to stash away.

I just realized how funny the "Renegade Edition" is. You're not just a DJ, YOU'RE FIGHTING THE SYSTEM MAN

weaksauce! Musta been an error because the price is now being listed as $165 which while not as awesome makes much more sense.

It says 57% discount on the games page but at the end of check out it stills reads up at normal price.
Anyone know how to get the discount?
