More GoldenEye 007 assets than you can shake a PP7 at
75
If your Friday was feeling light on dashing digitized photos of dashing Daniel Craig, Activision is here to help alleviate the issue. Not only has GoldenEye 007's publisher released a handful of new screens that we've dropped into a gallery for you below, but there's also a new trailer that we've embedded after the break.
What, that's not enough? How about some photos of that other Daniel Craig looking dashing in another Bond game? Well, here you go! It's Bond day, didn't you know?

Gotta get that first post. Who will know that the first post in a comment thread is indeed the first without you telling them? You and the fine people of YouTube who have to remind everyone who ever submits a video onto the site that their content is "gay" are a valued individuals.
That's why we're throwing a party in your honour. It's at the bottom of a very large pit we've dug, which we like to call "the party pit". Don't be shy now, punch and pie awaits you at the bottom, so just dive right in, face first if you like.

Get your facts right. The GC was not "out of date", it was more powerful than the PS2, but less powerful than the Xbox.

If you can say that, you either don't recall the original or haven't seen it in a long, LONG time.

i actually just played it a couple weeks ago and although my comment was rather over exaggerated but the graphics boost is not what it should be this many years since the release of the original. I would have rather had this been an xbla or psn tittle with great graphics and the ability to use two sticks.

@Binary Colour Really!? The graphics haven't improved at all over the past thirteen years!? Either you're delusional or maybe you're just some extremely biased Sony/Xbox worshiper who has nothing better to do than to discredit Nintendo and its third parties. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I could have sworn there was a slight improvement with the graphics? One: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh137/Nintendo1889/n64vswii.jpg and two: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh137/Nintendo1889/n64vswii.jpg And another thing? What's wrong with this being on the wii!? If anything, I'd say it's more than fair, seeing as out of every twenty million games released, only three are ever ported to the wii. The others go to the PS3, X360 and PC. I don't care if the wii isn't as powerful as the X360/PS3, it's capable of producing some nice looking games. The problem is there are those stupid, lazy developers making those half-a**ed ports.

The Wii game supports 3 controllers, Wiimote + Nunchuk (which is the amazing marriage of PC precision and the use of joystick movement), Classic Controller (Which is really no different than a Dualshock controller), and the Gamecube controller (easily one of the most comfortable 1st party controllers ever made).
So why argue about not having two sticks (learn to say dual analog please) when your argument is invalid.

seriously you guys are blind if you think the graphics haven't changed. I owned the original and today it is ugly as they come. The wii version is definitely an improvement.
Is it 360/PS3 quality? Hell no. But it's certainly leaps and bounds over the n64 version.

I'm certainly not dense enough to say the graphics haven't changed, but man does this game look like it came out of someone's butt.
I'm not saying graphics are everything.. but.. graphics are everything. If you are going to make a game for Wii, you can't try and make it all realistic looking like a 360 or PS3 game. Simple as that. Why? Because people will compare it to games coming out on the more powerful systems, and it will look disgusting by comparison.
Okami? Gorgeous on Wii. Muramasa? Lovely. Galaxy? Not too shabby. All of those stylized, non-realistic games look fantastic on the weaker system.
This?
Butt butt butt.

Amongst the propensity of trolls around here people seem to have missed the fact that Jerk Face has a completely legitimate point. Attempting realism on the Wii is just a bad idea; it will always look bad in comparison to other current-gen games. That's not in any way to say that it isn't entirely possible to make a visually fantastic game on the Wii; you just need to have a stylized appearance. Probably the best-looking game I've seen on the console with semi-realistic graphics is The Last Story, which makes excellent use of a subtle cel-shading effect.
That said, "realistic" games on the Wii can, at least, look PRESENTABLE; Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and hell, even parts of The Conduit all looked at least visually pleasing, if obviously not as polished as games on HD systems. This game, however, really does look like ass. This is like what we're used to seeing from the half-assed Wii versions of multiplatform games.

I like both....what I DON'T like however is the fact that this appears to ONLY be on Wii for Legal reasons...but could be so much BETTER with XBL or PSN behind it....if Nintendo had a better online solution then there would be little issue with the game being only on the Wii from anyone I think

I can't believe all the people who are bashing the game because of the graphics. It looks so much better than the original. I know a lot of people including me would love GoldenEye on 360/PS3/PC, but there's no need to hate this game for being a Wii exclusive. Graphics don't make the game.
I myself, can't wait for this game. I've wasted many hours on the original game's multiplayer and plan to do the same when this game comes out.

Yes it does look better, but thats just to be expected, its almost a given and common sense. Some people are just pointing out the obvious that it does look like ass, like compared to red steel or mario galaxy ( i know its not the same genre and all). Like you said though, eye candy doesnt make a game, and we can both agree that you know a thing or two about looks and talent :P

I know there's a lot of Wii fans in here that want to defend their console by voting MCFace down, but he's right here.
Goldeneye's biggest boon was its multiplayer, so it makes sense that people would not want it to end up on the least online capable console out there. When people talk about a Goldeneye remake they talk about how awesome it would be to have the game in HD with good online play. The Wii provides neither of those.
Also, while I know there is a contingent of people out there that prefer the Wiimote for shooters, most people don't. And I would guess that most of Goldeneye's biggest fans naturally graduated on to games like Halo and Gears (MP oriented shooters), not games like Just Dance and Wii Fit. As such it stands to reason that most Goldeneye fans (including all the ones I know) heavily prefer dual analog controls, where again the Wii is very weak.
Even further, the talk about it being on the 360 was about XBLA, which would've meant it would likely be a $10 or $15 game, as opposed to whatever they charge on the Wii (which it sounds like they're doing a full retail release at $50 for it...).
So yeah, outside of the very biggest of Wii fanboys almost everyone is disappointed that this thing is ending up on the Wii. Goldeneye and the 360 are pretty much the most perfect match you could possibly think of, and it's a shame it will never happen.
I'm one of the biggest Goldeneye fans you'll find and yes, it really really sucks that instead of playing this in party chat with my buddies, laughing and having a great time while reliving our high school days playing this thing every day after school, I'll have to sit there playing it in silence, while fighting an awkward (to me) control scheme to see my blocky character run around as my 61" tv tries to upscale it.
I'd pay well over 100 bucks to get this game on my 360 (provided my friends had it too). On the Wii, I'll probably end up skipping it. Such a shame.

Why did they rename "Slappers Only"? Is it not extreme enough for the current audience?
It would be nice if it was on multiplatforms but I'm not going to whine about it. It's not like PS3/Xbox don't have their fair share. Plus, I may actually get some use out of my Wii.
