More GoldenEye 007 assets than you can shake a PP7 at

If your Friday was feeling light on dashing digitized photos of dashing Daniel Craig, Activision is here to help alleviate the issue. Not only has GoldenEye 007's publisher released a handful of new screens that we've dropped into a gallery for you below, but there's also a new trailer that we've embedded after the break.
What, that's not enough? How about some photos of that other Daniel Craig looking dashing in another Bond game? Well, here you go! It's Bond day, didn't you know?

I love this game, if only because i get to watch all the consternation that revolves around it. But it'll have to compete very directly with Conduit 2 and Black Ops for my dollars this holiday season.

I hope it doesnt play as bad it looks. Now if it were on a real platform I would consider this a buy, but as of now I will rent it. Im just afraid my eyes will bleed out after playing with such crap n64 looking visuals.

Same here. Why make a shooter for a platform that most FPS fans don't have?
They need to learn their demographics.

Actually yes, i only own a PC and Wii for my gaming needs. HD games that aren't available on Wii i play on PC, and the fantastic games that are exclusive to the Wii i can play too. It's the best combination and value for money gaming this gen to have a PC/Wii and i wouldn't have it any other way. I don't see the hilarity behind it, it makes sense. I get 99% of all the HD games, and the console with the most A+ exclusives. If you lack the intelligence to pick that perfect combo, then its your problem.

Couldn't they have done a bit more shading on the characters at least?
They look so plain.
It is leaps and bounds from the original, but it still looks a bit lazy in the graphics department.
...more importantly: Have we been given a rundown as to which weapons will be in the game? Any new ones? Old ones? I want to proximity mine entire rooms again.

There's also the group of GoldenEye players that stopped playing shooters after the N64... most of my family.
Though I know that's a tiny percentage, I'm sure they still account for many people - to those people: HD and Analog controls don't matter too much. They just want to relive the multiplayer days of old.
Then again, analog controls will also be in this GoldenEye, soo...
And why so bummed it's not on 360 or PS3?
With the larger percentage of anti-nostalgia fans within the communities, you'd think they'd rather just have an all new 007 game, not a Goldeneye revision.
Not saying that most 360 and PS3 players are against nostalgia, but it certainly is a bigger debate to them than it is to the Wii group.
I'm sure if there's any form of counter-culture within the 360 and PS3 against the Wii, the two will get their own 007.
...wait, that's Blood Stone.
Yay?

What made GoldenEye so popular was its SPLIT-SCREEN multiplayer. It makes perfect sense that this game would come out for the system that has consistently and faithfully promoted local multiplayer this generation.

I'm rather worried that this is just going to be another generic shooter with the Goldeneye name slapped on it to make a quick buck. Knowing who the publisher is, that seems all too likely.
I'll reserve judgment until the game is released, but I'll be treating this with a bit of skepticism until then.

That's the whole point of the XBL party system that Wii-boys will never understand. The XBL party system IS split screen multiplayer. Only you get a full screen, and you can do it with all your friends who have moved to different parts of the country after getting those real world job thingies, and you can do it at any time of the night as easily as booting up your console (not having to drive to someone's house at midnight).
And you're all there, in a chat, laughing and hooping and hollaring just like you were back in the day when you were sitting right next to each other.
@Foetoid
I feel sorry for you. I really do.

Lol whys that? Because i don't want to buy a HD console for it's limited range of exclusive games? Some of us aren't made of money, we have to pick the best gaming value for money. Since i use a PC daily for internet browsing and study, it makes sense to use it for HD gaming. Then i look to the console with the most A+ exclusives, for its better value, then buy that too. I still get 99% of the games on the HD consoles, and it works out perfectly.

Also. How is the Wii "very weak" for dual-analog controls? Goldeneye supports Classic Controller and Gamcube support, the latter i have always found to be the most comfortable dual-analog controller ever. At least the Wii has the option for different dual-analog controls (Classic, Pro and GC) the other HD consoles only have 1, and if you don't like it, buy 3rd party. Yeah thats awesome!! :/

If Rare was making the game, then maybe your $10-15 XBLA release argument would work, but since it's ACTIVISION, it's not a remake like Perfect Dark had on XBLA. If Activision were to make it for PS3 and 360, it would most likely be a $60 title (since those consoles have a $10 spike in price). Just because the game's released before doesn't mean Activision would do what Rare would. To Activision, it's a new game with a bigger budget and unlike the original game, it has voice acting, so they have to actually PAY the actors.

This is horrible. Before you get too excited just look who's developing the game, then look who's publishing the game!
Really, it looks horrible, graphical wise, there are far more prettier games on the wii. How would anyone defend it?

Why compromise on the graphics when the technology is there to make it look at least better than a late N64 game called Perfect Dark. This isn't made by Rare, I won't waste my time on this.

I'd rather have a game that looks like ass with tons of replayability than a game that looks like God with none.

Im not gunna trash talk the Wii its just not my thing, but if you enjoy it great. I dont see why every comment has to be a
"I OWN ALL 3 SYSTEMS SO MY COMMENT ON WHICH IS BEST IS MORE VALID THEN YOURS"
Honestly Golden Eye Source owns so thats where I get my 007 Fix since I lost my N64 copy
