Alan Wake's not a victim! Isn't he like an author?

Oh, what will I be doing this weekend? Probably some more TF2 (just got my second crazy hat!) and making fun of all my friends who bought the iPhone 4.

Also, I went to the Wii Games 2010 event in Jersey City! I won a Mario Yahtzee game, a Mario Monopoly game, and I'm ranked ninth on Mario Kart and first on NSMB Wii!

IN YOUR FACE, CASUALS!

I'm back into Fallout 3. I had purchased Broken Steel awhile back, probably when it was on sale, and forgot I had it. May play around with the trial versions of Deadliest Warrior and Deathspank some and see if I cave and buy them or not

@PR0F3TA / Point Lookout was my favorite Fallout 3 DLC by a mile. It had so much character to it and felt really large. The Pitt would likely be my 2nd fave...

Singularity. Sure its just Half-Life mixed with Bioshock set in Russia, but the final product just comes together so nice. Loads of fun. Plus its a new IP from Activision, How often does that happen? Also, Nolan North is in it!!! Sweet!

It is horrible that Alan Wake did so bad it is probably my favorite game on the Xbox 360( which says a lot because I am a die hard Halo fanboy). If you didn't buy Alan wake and own a 360 go get it now it is amazing. If you don't have a 360 still buy Alan Wake and go over some friends house who has a 360 and play it..

I agree. I got it Day One. Loaned it to my buddy, now I'm ready to get it back and play thru it on nightmare before the dlc comes out. Fantastic atmosphere in that game.

@The Tim / I've likely said it before, but I've never found the 2nd playthrough of a game so rewarding because of all the extra story elements you know about and understand.

Its $34.99 at kmart. Well worth it. It may not be the best game ever, but it is next to ME2 as my favorite game of the year. There is a lot of enjoyment in Alan Wake... and it deserves a sequel more than most recycled games this generation.

True, the 2nd playthru won't have the surprises that the first time did, but I never play games thru back to back so there will still be a lot of 'Oh I remember this part!' moments. Plus the story is just that good to me

RE5 was possibly the easiest Platinum in my collection, and yet its one of my favourites. the co-op in that game was too much fun :)

Yeah, I've read a lot of people saying how easy this trophy is - takes me a while though. I just need about 6 more treasures and a few more weapons to upgrade. Perhaps it takes me a while since I prefer not to use online guides to find every hidden feature, I like the challenge of finding them on my own :P

Go rent Terminator Salvation, easiest plat of all time (5 hrs, or less)

Easiest trophy that I actually bought and enjoyed throughout? I'd say RE5.

continuing to revisit the PS2 area, plowing my way through FF12, and realizing how much i missed out by never grabbing castlevania lament of innocence. if lords of shadow can keep the authentic 2D-to-3D translation of castlevania gameplay that lament of innocence did, while improving on the environments and fighting, it might very well become one of my favorite games ever.

also playing some geometry wars retro evolved 2, whenever i don't feel like a longer commitment, and i just picked up dragon quest IV for DS.

figures, that when i finally buy an HDTV (50" LG plasma), i'm in the throes of a retro gaming phase.

I'm been trying to get back to the PS2 games that I have never finished as well. The two I have there are Rogue Galaxy and Dragon Quest 8.

As for other stuff I'll be playing it would be Left 4 Dead and maybe Halo 3 with the JPAGers. And I just picked up inFAMOUS this week and been enjoying that a lot.

Singularity definitely needs some more love. I'm still fairly early in the game, but so far it's been a great ride. Like someone else mentioned, it's sort of a mixture between Bioshock and Half Life.

Raven is a great developer, and I'm very disappointed Activision pretty much abandoned this title at launch.

Finally started playing Batman: AA. The 3D is really crappy (especially since I have to wear them over my own glasses) and to be honest, I'm just not enjoying the game. All these villains are giving me a Spiderman 3 vibe.

Luckily, the riddles are kinda cool, so at least I have something to do besides punch overly muscular henchmen.

Finishing DeathSpank. I'm just grinding some experience before I storm the castle so I can hit 20 while I'm there.
finishing Republic Commando
finishing Republic Heroes, luckily that was a rent. Easy enough achievements I guess.

Also saddened that Gamestop is saying True Crime got delayed til November. So now I'm trying to think up a new game for September, probably Spider-Man.

Well... Seeing as how I lost my ME2 save file (that I was 7 hours in to) AND my ME1 character save... I've kind of lost the motivation to play through ME2 for a while. So it'll be some TF2 (been FAR too long!), F.E.A.R. 2, and maybe something from my list of steam games that I shouldn't have bought.

@Mortegro The 'Mass Effect' series are my favorite games this generation. I've never obsessed over and played through an entire game in just a few days, but I did that for the first time with Mass Effect 2, and every time a new DLC comes out I grab it up and devour it in a couple hours. I can't get enough!

It's been about 6 years since I've played Vice City, and I'm loving it all over again. The soundtrack is just amazing (it has two of my songs) and I just love the atmosphere of Vice City. I hope Vice City returns in the next GTA.

I picked up DeathSpank on PSN and Joe Danger this weekend, so I might spend time with them. Even though I'm going to be busy this weekend.

I looked at my Xbox 360 collection and realized that I have only spent time on my 360 playing Crackdown 1 and all the Lego and Guitar Hero/Rock Band games with my sister before my 360 RROD'ed. I got a new Xbox 360 S which hasn't had problems yet (knock on wood). So this weekend I'm going to start Kameo: Elements of Power (let's go back to the start). I'm sure I could find some other 360 launch titles to play.

In addition to that, finishing up MediEvil and maybe starting on Dragon Quest IX.

Just Started playing Alan Wake, does anyone else have any issues with some shadows, blood, Alans Hair, and the effect those fast moving enemies have?

Like, around the edges of the objects seems to not be how they should be (hard to explain)

Also, got a question if anyone knows:

I recently went HDMI on my 360, thinking it solve the issue above - which it didnt, but now I got no surround sound. Which is a pain in the ass.

If I do the HD Component hack, will having the metal underneath the plastic exposed be bad? And, will it work fine? I hear if you do it that way and go to a different input (Sometimes I get annoyed and flip to the TV and watch for a bit) I hear it restarts, is that true?
