Spoof God of War movie trailer is so indie

Whatever you may have imagined a God of War movie would be like, there's a very good chance it was nothing like this. Who would have thought Kratos was just an upper-crust prep school kid with real problems? Really, the only things missing from this trailer are Ellen Page and Jason Schwartzman.

I'd watch it, if for no other reason than to see how they translate everything into an academy setting.

I've had that damn song stuck in my head for days now and watching this didn't help get rid of it

What's so funny about this is that they are basically showing that there is a formula for many independent films and that formula can be used for almost anything. If I was completely out of touch with video games, I would think that this was any other indie movie.

I'm sort of surprised no one's yet noticed (or made mention at least) how this is greatly inspired by Garden State.

1:23, 1:40, 2:15, 2:22

... are basically direct references to Garden State, just at a glance.
