Nice work!

Well, maybe if you didn't walk around dressed as a woman, you wouldn't bring it upon yourself...

@PR0F3TA

I checked out Home this weekend for the first time in about 6 months. I bought some steampunk goggles for my avatar and had fun in the carnival playing games for a couple hours.

Dunno what all the hate is about, it was entertaining.

the pedo thing i dont know about, but theres always constant people trying to hook up no matter in what chat room you go to online... this isn't a specific Home issue. There are also dozens of convos from everything to a game to how life is on the other side of the globe, to random talks about nothing.

u dont go on anymore but that doesnt mean i think its a waste of time. there's always a community for everything that gives you others to talk/play with

Home needs more original games, but it also needs voice chat -_- ...and music......and more retail titles integration.

I will be surprised if they allow voice chat in the common areas ever again.

Yeah, the only reason people used it was to blurt out racial epitaphs in the middle of Central Plaza.

So, kinda like Penn Station.

I figured it would be specified, so you could only use it if you were in a direct conversation with people rather then shouting it out. I mean its not as if people don't type out racial slurs anyway for all to see. You could always just block out the prats like we do already. :/ Its just so offputting having to type out everything.

@Wiizer I think you mean epithet.

And yes, epithets and bad rap music are all I usually heard. =/

Well, you should probably come back in about.... now.

Seriously, do you even check these things before you comment? Makes you look kinda dense. :\

@Wiizer

No kidding - the load screens between zones takes all of 4-5 seconds for me - whoop-de-do. I agree with you Wiizer, most people on here seem to be commenting on the launch version of Home and not what it is now.

I enjoy when people post without knowing what they are talking about though as it provides me with a good chuckle.

That joke has been recycled so many times now that it literally makes me cry whenever I hear people needlessly mention it :(

@Godmars You create an attractive female avatar and the ugliest avatar you can think of, you start flirting as the female with someone who is sad enough to go for it and then BAM! you switch to fugly man right as they start dancing with you, leaving them repulsed and confused, and less inclined to lech too.

The only problem I see with this is paying $10-$15 for a game in Home.

I should start trying to get anything to represent the game I'm making (www.corsia.webs.com) into Home. Better do it now before too many games start getting advertised there.

This is so true. It may not be the smoothest running or chalk full of content, but Home and the idea of it is the direction that casual video gaming is heading.

I am so glad the mainly negative towards home is switching towards generally positive..

I knew Sony was planning something big with home, heard rumours of stuff about indie games ... Didn't realise exactly what they were doing...

Home needs to create games that take your created avatar into the game as the playable character, you make that type of games in Home then people will want to play them. Take for instance on the Japan server of Home has a game that puts your avatar running away from a huge rock, perfect.
It's your avatar, it's 3D not 2D, and it's more than just a couple of seconds.
Final Fantasy 14 is coming and Home popularity is going to take a huge hit, but if you can offer the people what they want from FF14 and put it into Home for a MMO game of Home, you have a winner.
Just some ideas that would make people want to come back to Home everyday to work ahead for a goal, isn't that what gaming is all about?
What game does not have that type of idea? Work ahead to achieve a goal then move onto the next level, while leveling up your character. People will love it, and it will be a hit.
Just don't make it look like WOW, make it like it is, up to date and modern with alot of game advertisments and collectables from other games like Killzone is great.
Get er done! lol

Its good to see Sony really taking charge of Home.. it was an interesting idea that lacked the backing it needed to get going. Something Sony seems to be doing a lot of now a days.. Now if they could just make rooms for games as they come out and let you launch a game from them... that might make people go inside Home more. Or even make a shop inside a room so that you can just buy DLC from the room..

Home has already done that, put stores in spaces specific to that space. But they really need is content to do with ur avatar.
Avatar based games, trophies, dlc, make it a mmo.
Home is lacking these winning content features.
