Crackdown 2 doesn't deserve the #1 spot. In comparison with the original game there is very little new content.

So...you would rather see Dance on Broadway, Toy Story 3, or Lego Harry Potter in the top spot? Red Dead has had its day in the sun and is no longer a new release.

Why don't you go and get your forehead carved out somewhere.

@leobebes You missed the point of that comment entirely.and whats wrong with Dance on Broadway, Toy Story 3, or Lego Harry Potter been no. 1 Crackdown is a terrible rush job that might as well be dlc for the first game its pathetic at least the other games have had lots of time and effort put into them.

True, but it's still an awesome game, and it still deserves to sell even if just based on the first one.

Egads of new content or not, I'm having a crapton of fun (and laughter) playing it in 4-player co-op, and that's what it's all about.

@saturn118 Storming bases was way more fun then this 2 minute King of the Hill copy/based mission crap, it improved physics & driving slightly, yet other things, like tripping on curbs are worse then Crackdown 1 Pre patch.. So far co op has been 4 guys doing there own thing..

@Vcize

Is it worth it for SP only? I loved Crackdown but not sure on the new mission structure in Crackdown2 and also the fact it's Pacific City again. Unfortunately 4p co-op isn't likely as most of my friends aren't on these days or are on at different times so it'll be a lone affair for me.

I'm stuck on the fence...

@Boff If you're not capable of playing co-op I'd say avoid it. You can always try the demo on XBLA which gives you SP and Co-op along with practically every type of mission and orb you'll find in the full game.

Thanks for the info, I'll probably wait till it's a bit cheaper then.
Still haven't got round to trying the demo either... Shadow Complex was on sale, and now DeathSpank has just come out.

Cheers

Just because I don't personally enjoy a game doesn't mean I want it to sell horribly. I just get annoyed by games such as Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Crackdown 2 and maybe Halo ODST that outsell better games, even when they're created with little effort as a side project for a quick source of income.

That's horrible news about Crackdown 2.

If I made games and my bottom line was money, no way would I invest to make a great sequel with big strides in graphics, gameplay etc. - I would just make incredibly small changes to a game over 3 years and have a #1 best seller.

It's still a lot of fun though and there's basically nothing else like it. And what other game on the list should be above it? The other games that are arguably better are also older and have already sold millions.

I can't wait for Madden 11. Chances are it'll be identical to Madden 10, and everything new they've added will be DLC.

So the 360 S sold as many units as the original 360 did at launch. Somehow, I think the headline's "solid launch" is a understatement

I'm glad you have such a powerful emotional connection to a games console. And a bit disturbed.

Crackdown 2 might be a rush job or should of been DLC, but I've played it A LOT and have had a ton of fun.

How is this game compared to the origina?. Is it improved in all areas over the original or does the first game have plus points where it beats this version.

I''m just asking as a I've never played either and was wondering if I should just skip the first and get Crackdown 2.

@Head Stapler

It's basically the same game, but with some slightly updated visuals, slightly changed game environment, more enemies on screen, and a couple of new abilities for the player. From what I understand, it plays almost identically.
