Will Joystiq be covering Comic-Con?

Thank you "tag mode". Apparently if you are not the type to attend conventions you need to purchase an Action Replay to unlock cool stuff in Dragon Quest 9.

@Jack Spicer

Thats the one major flaw I have with Dragon Quest. No one at all figured that maybe NA doth not equal Japan. Tag mode is fine and dandy, hell I bet you could get a thousand unique tags easy just walking through a typical japanese train.

But for us? For me to get at least 100 unique tags, I bet I'd have to travel through a good fourth of the US.

I absolutely love the concept of Tag Mode. I however hate that I seem to be the only person in Kansas City that plays Dragon Quest IX, so tag mode does me absolutely no good. I would love to get my hands on this map, however that doesn't seem to be too likely.

@Jack I love Xiaolin Showdown, they need to bring it back, stat.

@witheea I'm a huge Dragon Quest fan living in Kansas City and I'm working on getting my hands on DQIX.

@witheea If you need some players for tag mode and want an exclusive map in the process, check out this event being hosted by participating Gamestop stores next weekend. http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/events/dragonquestevent/

I'll have DQIX by then, and I'll probably be at the Gamestop at the Oak Park Mall. The only other Gamestop near here participating in the event is the one at the mall in Independence.

@HoppyDragon
I hope you get the chance to get the unique map from Gamestop today. Unfortunately for me I have no way to get out there. If you do, I'd love to be able to get it from you eventually.
If you didn't already know they're actually doing 2 more events next month. Next Saturday they'll be doing events at Best Buy, but none of the Best Buys I visited had any idea about it, and the website has no information, so I'm not sure which ones are participating yet. And then later in August I think there'll be another event at Independence Center. All 3 events have different unique maps. I'm hoping to make the other 2 since I can't make the first one.

More than offering something to ComicCon attendees, they need to give the whole of NA a little love over wifi. I know that Yuji Horii stated that Americans will have an incentive to organize get-togethers, but it's just not happening. I live in a city with a population of around 400,000 people, have been VERY assertive in trying to organize meet-ups and currently have 2 unique tags; one of which is my girlfriend.

I wonder if it's a unique demo, or the stuff we've seen at both the Nintendo media summit and E3

This raises the question:

Would anyone like to take my DS to San Diego with them?
