GameStop has quite a sale going on, offering used and new games for up to fifty percent off both in store and online. The Power Saver sale lasts until August 8, and includes discounts on lots of popular titles. Check out some highlights after the break, and be sure to check the sale page for many more deals.

GoW3 and AC2 are the only good deals. I would pick up the DSi with Spirit Tracks if I werent getting the 3DS.

BC2 for 40 bucks isnt even a deal, I saw that weeks ago at BestBuy. Plus I own it.

I meant those are the only deals that interest me, everything else I own or have no interest in. Apparently some assholes find it necessary to downvote anybody with a slightly different opinion.

Hah, 'huge' sale. The worst sales on Steam are better than the best sales shown here.

dude...its an opinion. calm down. i dont know if you realize but thats partially what this site is for: gaming news and peoples opinions on the news that is being given. in fact i have te same exact opinion on this sale as Nintari has. meh.

I was almost gonna buy BC2 on Steam for 26.50 or whatever it was... but I opted to wait for a box copy to go on sale! lo and behold, 2 weeks later I got BC2 limited edition from GS yesterday for only 30 bucks! :) Thanks GS this sale is pretty cool!

Well I had gift cards from my birthday and what can I say? I love having physical box copies that I can hold and display! :) I don't care if it cost a couple dollars more to have a box copy.

the limited edition for the PC isn't limited i'm sure, everyone with a pc gets it.

Unless he is happy about getting the physical copy, which is great if he likes that.

You got your facts wrong there, the only different between the limited edition and regular edition are that on the top of the cover it says limited edition, and you get 6 unlocks off the bat which you would have gotten if you played the MP for a bit.

Plus ... without any doubt PC > 360 by a country mile, trust me I play it on my PC and my roommate has it on his 360.

IMHO poor choice by skipping the Steam sale but ... to each his own I guess.

Heavy Rain. GameStop over bought on God of War 3 and they're desperate to get rid of it. It'll be on sale again.

I peeked at the used deals, and there are some really cheap older games. If somebody was looking to pick up the best of a system's oldies but goodies, they could get an awful lot of them for around $5. Gears of War, Skate, Assassin's Creed, Condemned 1 & 2.

Even the B-titles are worth a play at $2.50, right? Perfect Dark, Forza 2, PGR3, Rockstar Table tennis--you can pick up all four for a single 10-spot. That's not a weak sale, IMO. Used or not. I may go rebuy a few of these that I let go a couple years ago just to enjoy them again.

Not bad, but they charge tax and shipping. I looked into it yesterday when the sale started and decided after tax/shipping and read they may not come with box or manual and it suddenly didn't seem like it was worth it. :P But hey, still really cheap for some older games, just not the screamin' deal that first made me hit the "add to cart" button. :)

call me easy to please, but i managed to pick up motorstorm, alone in the dark, and rockstar's table tennis for just under 10 dollars. first time in a while i'm glad to have shopped at gamestop. :P

Darksiders is tempting, and to people who havent played them bad company 2 and assassin creed 2 are a must.

Be careful, you guys! Not all of these are discounted. Split/Second is on that list with a sale price of $59.99, reduced from $59.99.

2 Ps3 games (NCAA Football 2009 and Rock Band AC DC track pack) and 5 Xbox 360 games (Conan, Sega SuperStars Tennis, Kung Fu Panda, Lego Indiana Jones, Timeshift) for $31.67. Hmmm I will take that deal.

I wanted to buy Darksiders with my $10 coupon that I got from buying 3d dot game heroes.

However, because this game is $19.99 it registers my total as being $9.99 and the coupon doesn't work on orders under $10.

But... but... Tax and Shipping are greater than $5... :(

No man, i'm talking about this $10 gamestop online credit that I got for purchasing 3D Dot Game Heroes.

It won't let me apply it to Darksiders because you can't use the coupon on orders under $10. Although i'm using it on an order that is $19.99+tax and shipping and it still does not work.

You can't combine it with saver shipping or any other codes or promotions either.

@spekkio I used my code no problem. People on slickdeals were saying they were having problems with it too. I guess if you're sure it's unused, worst comes to worst call the 1-800 # for GS and they'll most likely help you with it

great time to pick up assassins creed 2, well for me at least. but i am also fighting myself on buying a ds with pokemon (i miss the good ol'days) and scribblenauts (well, because)

Great chance to get in on the fun that is Battlefield 2.. and for me.. well I have no excuse to get 3D Dot Game Heroes and Assassin's Creed 2!

I got Transformers: WFC for $50. That's good enough to support this sale for me. :D
