She and partner Totec do so with all kinds of heavy weaponry, including flamethrowers, rocket launchers and whatever else they find laying around that ancient temple they're exploring. The video also shows off some of the game's relic and artifact system, which will not only let you customize weapons with various stats and abilities, but encourage replaying of the game, as some of the relics will require a few runs through the title to obtain. Watch the full trailer after the break.
Lara Croft still likes all kinds of guns

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light was one of our favorite games at this year's E3 -- while it's a new taste for the franchise, it certainly seemed like one gamers will enjoy. But even if all of the puzzle-solving and co-op has you worried that Lara's gone too cerebral, let this trailer reassure you: The girl still knows how to shoot things until they stop moving.

Amen. Some of the most prized games in my collection are the Champions and Dark Alliance titles. Really amazing stuff.

Hmmm, I can't wait for these summer of arcade games! they'll giving me a chance to dust off the ol' 360 and play them. (I beat RDR a couple weeks ago and haven't played it much since.)

Since it is unlikely that any of my friends would be buying this I wonder how the AI is for the companion character.

@Misfit Toy - Hi, there isn't an AI companion. Due to the complexity of the puzzles we decided to go a different route. So instead when you play single player Lara's skills have been upgraded (she has Totec's spear for instance) and the puzzles have been tailored to single player. In fact it's worth playing through in co-op and single player as they're somewhat different in that respect.

Thanks for the info. The game looks cool and I was concerned if I wasn't going to be able to play it solo since I've mostly heard the emphasis on the co-op. I'll likely be picking this one up.

Really didn't know this was going to have this kind of camera, dont like it, gonna take a miracle to get me to take money anywhere near it.
I know they removed Tomb Raider from the title and named it "Lara Croft..." blah blah but IT IS still a tomb raider game and to me tomb raider HAS to be a platformer
trailer just really put me off it and my money will be going elsewhere, (not that im much of a tomb raider fan anyways)

@Stafare - Hi from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos.
We're working on two projects right now and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light isn't the next Tomb Raider. We had a chance to do something new and different while working on the pillar release and LCGoL is the result. I hope that helps.

@keireidos well, it kinda does but now it just seems like you are sapping the Lara Croft character for a game that isnt part of the series, so you can get more sales, but most of the reason i said it is because the camera view like that really REALLY doesnt appeal to me at all

Hmmmmmm. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I've had every tomb raider game since the original on my PC back in the 90's but this doesn't excite me.
Pumping a bazillion bullets into a monster from a vantage point based 6 miles away just seems dull. I too was hoping it would be less bards tale and more Uncharted 2.
