The Sims 3: Late Night Expansion takes your Sim out on the town this fall
14
Looking for a virtual metropolis in which your Sim can par-tay down? EA just announced the next expansion for The Sims 3, called the "Late Night Expansion." The add-on will include an "active downtown scene" where players can "become a local celebrity, member of a music band, mixologist, director, and more." You can also apparently become a vampire, but if the announcement trailer past the break is any indication, you'll just loiter around a lot of alleys. We imagine it's kinda like being a teenager ... forever.
The Sims 3: Late Night Expansion launches this fall.

*Ring ring ring ring*
"Hello This is Mrs. Chris D"
"Hello this is Caleb. Your husband asked me to tell you about a Sims 3 expansion"
*squeel*
"You're welcome. BTW can you please make me a pumpkin pie?"
1 day later...
*BANG!*
Chris D: "Take that you stupid Rusty Jack!"

@den69 I dunno man, World Adventures basically changed the way you play the Sims. And I'm just getting into Ambitions, but the whole Career aspect really frees you up to make money doing things that some people did in the Sims just for fun. My sister is the real Sims player, but the two expansions have really kept me interested.
The weird thing is, from the trailer this one seems like a knock off of the original expansion Night Life.

@den69 I bought and played both of them. But I can never even figure out how to build a basement, let alone travel the world or start a career or have a night on the town

Yeah it's my girlfriend who plays, I just sit here and observe usually but this expansion actually seems pretty good to me.
I'm not really interested in taking my sims to work or going on holidays with them lol I just want to see stuff like pets and weather etc.

@YoungJey
The console versions are usually quite a bit different from the pc version. Unless they change things up, don't expect to be playing the same game on consoles as you are on the PC, even though they might take SOME things from the expansions.
