DC Universe Online voice cast revealed, studded with stars

Who would have thought that one of the strongest voice cast lineups we've seen in a good, long time would come from an MMORPG? Check out some of the talent Sony Online Entertainment managed to wrangle for its upcoming superpowered outing, DC Universe Online:

Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will reprise their frequent roles of The Joker and Batman, respectively. You may remember the sounds of their pipes from Arkham Asylum, as well as any other animated Batman project from the past 15 years.
Former Firefly stars Gina Torres and Adam Baldwin will voice Wonder Woman and Superman, respectively. Though you probably didn't need that "respectively" bit, due to your understanding of gender.
James Marsters will voice balding mastermind Lex Luthor. After playing Spike in Buffy, Brainiac in Smallville, Captain John in Torchwood and Piccolo in the recent Dragon Ball movie, this should be a nice notch in his nerd-fame belt.
Wonder Woman's adversary, Circe, will be voiced by Michelle Forbes, who provided the voice for Dr. Mossman in Half-Life 2. She's also been in every sci-fi show ever made. All of them. Seriously.

Adam Baldwin as Superman will be entertaining since that guy always comes off sounding like Billy Badass.

And Michelle Forbes wasn't in The Dresden Files. So not every sci-fi show.

Adam Baldwin voiced Supes in the "Superman Doomsday" straight-to-dvd release a few years back.

He sucked. He has no affectation and is far too plain. His voice came off as low-key. I'm not saying he's a bad voice actor, as he's done other characters before, but he just isn't made for this part.

Tim Daly would've been a much better choice, and consistent with Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill (all three involved with the Bruce Timm animated series).

Well.. he had stated that Arkham Asylum 1 would be.. So he must be Kojima's voice-actor counterpart

I'd been wondering for a while about what happened to former-Lieutenant Ro.

Playing a part in the Dragon Ball movie does *not* qualify for a notch on anyone's nerd-fame belt.

@WiredKnight sure it does....but its one of those notches you QUICKLY skip over by losing more weight quickly...

I'm happy to see Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy taking up their roles again, but seriously: which of Hamill's "final" performances as the Joker will actually be the last?

What did you expect? As soon as I heard this was going to be an open world MMO I automatically assumed there would be a fee.

@m0c3 Well, you can't support a game like this on word-of-mouth and casuals. Perhaps you forgot why "Clone high" failed spectacularly. And no, it wasn't only because MTV were jerks.

Woah.. Ensign Ro Laren.. was who in Half Life..? I only remember Alyx, the old guy, dog, the alien in the pipe singing to it's self & the mystery guy..

I expected there was a chance it would be monthly paid....and when it was I said no.

Don't ever mention Dragonball Evolution again.

I really liked Mark Harmon's take on Superman in that last movie they did. Also, Marsters was in Caprica last season too.

I am looking forward to trying this out on a ps3, not really into pc-based mmos anymore. If the game is fun, packs quite a lot of content, and a large user base, then I don't mind paying the standard mmo fee.

She was not in Babylon 5 or Space rangers thus she was not in every sci fi show made.

Holy shit, the real news is that the imdb page the article links to has Episode Three for 2011! There's hope! But back on topic, i was really excited to hear that Adam Baldwin will be voicing Wonder Woman
