@ZexionArmando

He actually called Blizzard once and said he wanted to direct the movie.

Their response?

"We will not give the directing job to you, especially not to you."

That's a direct quote. Story ran awhile ago.

Use the queen of hearts from Alice in wonderland as Sylvania. Only needs 5 minutes of make up.

@Doctor Doom Helena Bonham Carter? I imagine she would be Sylvanas. And Jaina Proudemoore. And Tyrande. If Tim Burton were making the movie.

Any chance we can call Tim Burton and get him to make the movie instead? I can just see Johnny Depp as Vol'jin now.

It's going to be from the human perspective anyway. Not all that interested. At least not at the moment.

"Well, Prince of Persia bombed so....it'll be a cold day in hell before anyone invests big money into a video game again."

...I don't think Prince of Persia isn't even the biggest failure in video game movies.

I'm sure there are people in the business that are smart enough to know the difference between a movie bombing because it was a video game, or because it was just a bad movie.

Not as big a bomb as your grammar!

Seriously though:what other video game adaptation has cost $200 million? This was the first BIG budget all star major studio video game adaptation and it....didn't do very well. So, let's see.....almost all no budget video game movies bomb, big budget popular titles video game movies bomb, Peter jackson couldn't get Halo going...kiss the video game to movie biz goodbye.

@ThePenIsMightier

Apparently you don't remember that time when a movie bombed so hard it almost killed the publisher behind it...

And I don't really get where you're coming from with PoP. That movie actually did really well for a video game movie.

@Acosta02

"really well for a video game" isn't something you tell an accountant when trying to raise money. PoP, FF, etc. Video game movies are what comic book movies used to be:a tough sell because there's little known or of interest to the nonbasement dwelling public but requires a hefty budget. Big bucks on an unproven and often unprofitable niche? There's reason that Peter Jackson couldn't get Halo off the ground and Microsoft refused to fund their own "sure thing".

I'm just saying; who's going to say that video game movies never succeed when they just had their biggest success ever? Besides, like Trotsky said above me, people know that the source material isn't what decides the quality of the final movie.

File this along side things like Duke Nukem Forever that will keep getting talked about until people just don't care anymore and die in a quite whimper. Its not going to happen not sure why Blizzard keeps pretending that it will.

There needs to be a giant battle to see what side wins in the movie! A WoW movie would not be right if there was a happy ending where both sides teamed up to conquer a common enemy. And what better way to decide than to crowd source it to the people who will be most interested in the movie. But they'll need to change the game mechanics a little for the fight; they would have to make it so you could only be rezed by another player.
