Gaikai vs. OnLive. They're both pretty interesting, in their own ways, for me at least. The payment option for OnLive is pretty absurd, however, and this implement of Intel sounds really sleek. Leaning a little more towards Gaikai right now.

@Shadowbender

Gaikai > Onlive.

Gaikai can run from your internet browser, Onlive you need to install a program to the computer you want to run it on.

Onlive you pay for the game, Gaikai you pay for the service and that's it (like gamefly)

The only thing that Onlive has that Gaikai probably doesn't is that you can use you Xbox360 remote but if Gaikai solves that problem there'll be absolutely no reason to use Onlive....

@Shadowbender

To add the techs better. Here's them streaming from a distance of 400 miles (about 4 or 5 hour drive by car away). Onlive can't even do that now at that distance.

The only thing making Onlive great right now is the fact they has no competition because if these two came out at the same time the obvious winner would be Gaikai...

WoW!

Big props for the Show Press Release button! Loved it!

I'm liking the Gaikai service better than Online, because I could play a Demo for Mass Effect 3 right here on joystiq, just by reading some random post about it. I don't feel buying streamed games, nor paying monthly fees to play them... It just feels that even the games I bought are just rentals.

This make things exiting!

if I was an investor, Gaikai would be getting my money over Onlive. They just seem to have a much more winning business model

I thought Gaikai was using their platform for letting people demo games at a cost to publishers, without needing to download and install the game. Websites like Joystiq and IGN have code built into their articles that allow people near the Gaikai servers to demo the game from within the page.
