In announcing a September 15 launch for PlayStation Move in its territory, Sony Computer Entertainment Korea (intentionally?) slipped out the identity of two new PS3 titles, both with Move support. The first will be familiar to anyone who's browsed the iTunes App Store in, well, ever. It's a downloadable version of the popular "line drawing" casual strategy game Flight Control from Firemint, which has lifted off from iDevices and DSi to land on the PSN store ... at some point. (No date was listed.)
Also new and included in the "supports Move" category, Ignition is a Blu-ray Disc based racer from Hungarian developer Nemesys. The game was actually unveiled this time last year, was supposed to arrive in fall 2009 and doesn't have a publisher to speak of -- but hey, who needs that when you have looks? Check out screens of the game below and see for yourself. (While we try and find out who's actually releasing it.)

Can anyone explain to me this "Rar" thing going on? I've been reading it in a few posts here and I feel like I'm missing something here.

Isn't that plane game available on the "interwebz" for free and on like the app store for $2?
Wonder how much PSN is gonna charge for this...

oh yeah and fight control on the move is probably going to be very hard to play . . . .
we all know how hard it is to draw straight lines with any hint of accuracy on the wii, and the wii actually has a pointer.

exactly . . . . you control exactly where the line is going and speed is just how fast you move your hand . . . .
almost like . . . Minority report . . . . whoa . . .

I think the Move will be just fine with Flight Control. It tracks with enough precision to write words, which is difficult to do even with a mouse. It can serve just fine as a pointer, e.g. Socom 4.
I think that the Kinect would have a tougher time because it doesn't have that same level of precision. It's designed for larger gestures using more of the body, at least from what we have seen so far.

doesn't have precision? what!? from the screens we've seen from the kinect dashboard, basically you control a fist thats hovering in the air in the app and follows your hand . . . . i would expect to take the same approach, no huge body movements needed . . .

"we all know how hard it is to draw straight lines with any hint of accuracy on the wii, and the wii actually has a pointer."
This is actually why the Wii is at a DISadvantage. Trying to draw with the Wii remote or a laser pointer is like trying to draw with a very, very long pencil. It's difficult to control because the writing "surface" is so far away, resulting in your hand's actions being magnified beyond what you can control precisely. The Move wand is being tracked at its local position; to continue my previous analogy, it's like drawing with a normal-sized pencil. Thus, it's better for applications like this (and also better for doing ports from the DS, ironically!).

Hey, I'm not saying that the Kinect can't follow your hand. Far from it. When there's a big button and you have time to adjust the movement, it will do just fine. I'm saying that when there's a tiny moving plane that you have to click on, and then a narrow runway to draw a line through, along with added time pressure, the Move will outperform the Kinect.
Buttons help for selecting things, where the Child of Eden-style push may cause you to move the cursor while you select. Pointers also more naturally draw straight lines with a much smaller movement. Again, as far as we have seen, the Kinect isn't designed for situations where the difference of an inch matters.
Put simply, Kinect's quite a bit better for Dance Central, but it's just not suited to Ruse.
